Alumni office, perhaps, looking for donations? They tried me, too, and I'm a Cornell alum. They didn't leave a message, though.

This caller never leaves a message. When I call back, I get a recorded messages that says "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed." Caller ID indicates that it's from Cornell University, but Cornell's directory doesn't include this number. Also, same drill with calls from 607-254-4438.
