Chex systems is very hard to get a human with.   And when I worked for a bank it was twice as hard.   I had to call them quit a few times about putting a password on when I do opening any accounts.

Person called my mother's line asking for me.  It was Lawrence Carter from chex systems.  Okay I know from working at a bank before they mail you things not call.  They said there was something wrong with my checking account.  Well I don't have a checking account since 2010. And nor do I want one.

They are saying my husband is going to jail

I got a call from a simallary number it was (607) 299-0800 he said his name was lanwerace cater from check systems I guess I did a payday loan in 2011 he didn't want to give me his compaines malling address and debt collection liscences number the consumer fincial companie told me to ask for that and he just gave me a web address. They said if I didn't pay for the settlement if 400 bucks by Monday they would turn it into my county. I think this is bogus a scam u haven't seen any letters about it and they did not go into detail about it they didn't tell me when I did it in 2011. I really do think it is a scam I reported them into the consumer fincial group which is the new office to report debt collerctors. The FTC don't do it no more and that number called me three times in a row twice on my cell and once on my folks landline

I have received the same exact phone call about a month ago and just now @ 9:31 a.m.  I have talked to my financial institution about it because I knew it was a scam or fraudulent call.  First off Check Systems will NEVER call you about your bank account and second go to www.donotcall.gov and register your phone number even cell numbers.  If this does not work and they continue to call and harass you contact your local police department to see if there is anything they can do to help.

Go ahead and call them - just call them out on their lies!!! I called back and the guy answered as "ChexSystems". I asked if he was really with ChexSystems and he said yes. I further challenged him saying that ChexSystems would never call about suspicious activity on my checking account. He then attempted to get me to give him information so he could "access my file". I told him he had the wrong number and needed to take me off his list at which point he hung up on me. I spoke with ChexSystems (which was NOT an easy task and was probably more frustrating than it was worth!) and they confirmed that they are aware of these fraudulent calls. I submitted a complaint on the FTC's website as well.

Same as the above msg. Check Systems calling in regards to suspicious activity on your checking account. I didnt hear the phone ring but got a voicemail from that number  about 330pm 3-12-13.  What a scam

I reported these scammers a couple of weeks ago to the FTC.  They seemed to be aware of these people.  Just today I received a call from 607-299-0801, same exact thing just using a different number.  These scammers really need to go to hell

I just called Chex Systems and they informed me that they communicate through mail they do not call people.....

I also got this suspicious call from Check Systems reporting "suspicious activity" in my account.  This is NOT my financial institution!  Seems fraudulant.  The phone number advised to call is 1-607-299-0807.

Same for me to. Sounds phony. I know that's not my financial institution.

I got a call from this number. Funny thing is I work where I bank and I know for a fact nothing is wrong with my account number! They are crazy to think I will call them back! They are a scam!

They are a scammer trying to scare you into calling them.  Don't return this call.

I just received a phone call from this number today on my work phone #; I did not answer it because I have caller id and did not recognize the phone number. The message said you have fraudulent activity on your checking account please call Check Systems back at this same phone number.  I am not calling back; I don't have a problem with my bank accounts nor will I talk to anyone about them but my bank. I don't know anyone in NY, nor do I live close to that state.  I am not sure why they are calling me. I received this same sort of call about a month or so ago on my work phone number again but from a completely diffrerent phone number.  They are proably not even licensed to do business in my state.  If I truly owe something to someone, then why I am not getting any letters in the mail.  I am not calling these people back if you cannot act professional, then I don't have time for you.

Rose, unfortunately if you call them back, they know they have a working number and will continue to call, just ignore the calls and do not return them anymore no matter how bad the threats get, this is their operating procedure, if anyone had committed fraud it's these guys.  They are professional fraudsters.  call the FTC, your state's attorney General's Office and New York's Attorney General's Office also.  You can also file a report with the FBI at www.ic3.gov.  The calls will eventually stop but the best thing to do is ignore them, they are able to scam through scare tactics.

I received a call from this number 1-607-299-0807 saying that something is against my checking account. I keep close eye on my account and nothing is wrong. I did not call the number. They did not state any  company name just a number. How do I stop these calls?????

They left voice  message saying:
This is Check Systems calling in regard to suspicious activity on your checking account.  Please contact one of our representatives at  one six zero seven two nine nine zero eight zero seven.  Once again and repeated the number, then a thank you. It was a recorded woman's voice with British accent.

I actually spoke with someone who was able to provie me with information about a previous checking account I had and explained that there was a payday loan taken out and deposited into the account. Because I've had my identity stolen and was aware of most of the things this person applied for in my name, when I got this call I took it as being legitimate. The young lady took my email address and stated she would email me a settlement letter along with the documentation for me to take to court to file another claim against the individual who stole my identity. I never received an email with any information or another call from the same number and it has been a month now.

What a bunch of creeps these people are. They tell so mnay lies about who they are, that they can't even keep it straight. These people are bottom feeders. They will lie and scheme to try to collect a dime. Calling from Check Systems my a***. Give me a break, Mack. Stop ringing my phone.

I just got the same call and was confused as to where it originated from because they do not mention any companies that they are representing.

Left a voicemail that there had been suspicious activity with my checking account and to call back at 877-285-2839.  I called my bank instead and they said it is a known scam to make you think you or someone else committed check fraud.

Here too!  I love the horrible British accent on the voicemail they left.  I guess they learned it will get more call backs than an angry Indian (dot dot kind) threatening litigation! LOL

Ditto all of the above...got a call from 607-299-0807.  A voice msg was left claiming to be from Chexsystems and requesting a call back to 877-285-2839.  This is a scam and I will not even bother to call them back.

You know every day I come home and check my caller ID to see what idiot scam artist tried contacting me today, looks like today's winner is this company.  Congratulations on being the idiots for Wednesday January 23.

I got a voicemail from the same number 607299-0807 saying that it was checksystem calling regarding to suspicious activity on checking account, I work for a financial institution and I compare the phone number we have for checksystem and it's totally different.  All this is a scam.
