rec'd call from this number june 20  7pm on my cell phone...did not answer it

posing as a microsoft company rep.... i couldn't hear him talking his audio on the phone seemed really low i asked him to hold on while i turn up the volume but, he hung up on me!

wish people had better things to do than making prank calls.

The same happened to me while I was out, when I tried to call back a recording said this number was not in use!!! I wonder why they call me here in Switzerland, although this has not been the first time -  they are scammers.

Had a missed call from.this number , googled it and saw this scam

Number came up as a payphone,,, Of course I didn't answer and no message was left! I want to know what the hell ever happened to the national DO NOT CALL list???????   I get more phone calls than ever before! How can I make this crap stop???

This indian guy called from the number 607-529-9906, said he was from windows based in Calif.  I asked and He gave me a phone number of 559-529-5300.

When i knew the jig was up, When I asked if  he was a scam he told me to  F*#K off a few times.  I politely told him to do the same  with a few added x-rated gestures of my own.  
Who do these guys think they are. What has this lazy human race come too. Scams, scams, scams and anything to deceive, all in the name of money.

Said they were Microsoft and adamantly stated that I need to be in front of my computer - knew it was a scam and was like - I don't have a computer... I am poor - kept on demanding I be in front of my computer - smh!

They are now using this number for a Chase Debit card scam.

I have been receiving these calls (from Windows re a virus) for the past 6 months.
They won't give up - sometimes twice a day

Everybody knows it's just  a big scam - so why can't the telephone company just close the account or block the calls.

Tried being rude to them but they just call back and say something ??? in their language

PS - why doesn't this web site have a category below that says "Scam"  or "Fraud"
Seems like they are trying to avoid reality

Is the Telephone company part of the scam or just too greedy and not want to lose the revenue generated by this fraudulent company
Either way - they are a big part of this ongoing "crime"

Just received the same call as others from a male with heavy Indian accent. Same claim that some is wrong with my windows computer. I'm at IT professional with computer security skills so I was onto him right away. I don't own any Windows computers. If they call again I will be better prepared with a battery of questions.

Called ID says Pay Phone. This is a new one for me - "Hello, my name Peggy".  Ha!

I did the same thing, he said he was a computer engineer certified technician. I said it just so happens I'm also a computer engineer (which i am) and then he went right on with his script igoring this and I said that the only computer in our house was a mac ahaha what a dummy

I am on a no call list and report any future calls to RCMP

I have had 3 calls from this number, each time the Indian male says he is calling from Microsoft and they detect malicious activity. He has tried the same tactics as above, the one call I told him to Ef off and I was aware this was a scam. He called again tonight and I asked over and over again why he keeps on calling and then asked over and over again to speak to his Supervisor, he kept asking me "why" and I just continued asking for his Supervisor, was finally told that he was busy and all of a sudden I get "Hello, Hello, Hello, this is Brian? the Supervisor" I firmly asked him to remove my number from their scam and to stop calling. If they call again I do believe I will have an outburst of Tourette's!!!!!

I just started getting this call last night but I don't answer. Just thought I would look up the number and good thing I did I will not be answering that call.

I told the man I was not in front if the computer and would not be making any changes due to his phone call. He then said I did not ask you to make changes. So I told him he had no idea what type if computer I had nor my MAC address to know there was a virus that I appreciate his concern but I would be hanging up now. He called back and left a nasty vm and said I was an SOB and. Co#*sucker. Such a professional gentlemen.

As soon as I picked up the receiver and said Hello, they hung up.

I received several calls today from someone purporting to be from Microsoft telling me my PC was infected with viruses I could not detect and they would help me clean my PC by just following their instructions, yeah right!  The guy had a very heavy India accent and actually called me back when I hung up on him the first time and supposedly put his supervisor on the line to assure me this was legit (NOT).  After me drilling him for his location and function, he said "CA", I asked where in CA. as it is a big state and he hung up.  Definately a scam to try and get control of your PC through a remote link and steal your information.  Warn all your friends.  They called from these numbers, but according to the internet they have a host of different numbers they use.

Recieved call at home requesting to speak to women of the house. said he was calling from Microsoft maliscious software removal and wanted to have me guide him onto my computer lol when i questioned him on where he was from he said sarnia ontario canada but number was from newyork state, united states and when i  asked to speak to superviser he hung up. man sounded like he was from india

Just recvied a call fromthis number.  Carol said she was with microsoft.  It was the computer virus and they fix it for you scam.  I kept playing her game for over 7 minutes until i told her i was on the do not call list.  She promptly told me that it does not apply to them- they are exempt from the federal justice department.  When i pushed that, she hung up

This is a total scam!!!  They seem to think that they can apprise you of a problem on your computer!  Do they think I am that stupid????????

I then said, "Hmmm...came up on my caller id, let me google it" and read out loud "area code 607-529-9906, that doesn't seem to be a private number and it shows right here where this is a scam" She promptly hung up on me.

I got the same call from an east indian male about my computer having lots of virus and trojans, it was hilarious making him repeat everything three times. after about 5 or so minutes I asked if i should be talking to apple about this issue as my computer is a mac. Most fun I have had in minutes.

Just got a call at 16h50, August 9, 2012, Quebec City

This number is being used by the Windows Support Center scam - give us info about your computer and we will rip you off.  They called and asked for me by name and knew my address, etc.

When I told them I knew about the scam, they went right on with the script.

The same guy from India with a think accent calls telling me that he is calling on behalf of Microsoft Office and says there are some Trojans and Virusus on my computer and I need to switch my computer on. He will fix it "right before my eyes". What a load of crap! I keep telling him it is a scam and that he should not call me again but to no avail. Give'em hell!
