I get calls from this number at least twice a day, and I have been getting them for several weeks now.  If you work for this company and you're reading this, know that I hate you with every fiber of my being.  STOP CALLING ME.

I keep getting calls from this number.  The VM says it is Sallie Mae calling for someone who is not me.  I called them at the number they asked the person to call so I could let them know she is not at this number.  That number was a promotion that said you can get a $100 gift card to Walmart for $1.95.

I keep receiving messages on my cell from 607-562-4732 and 877-830-7667. I would like to report these two numbers. Thanks!!!

Have received several calls, two or three times a day, for the last several days from this number. Never left a voicemail. With a bit of research and the info shared by the other users here, I decided to answer the next time they called. It was, in fact, the Department of Education for Sallie Mae, calling in student loan debt. Problem was, they had the wrong number. Asked for someone else right off the bat. I told them they had the wrong number, and they asked if I knew the person they were calling for. When I said I didn't, they apologized for the inconvenience and said my number would be removed from the system and I would stop receiving calls within 24-48 hours. They were very polite about the whole thing.

i assumed a new cell phone number and the previous owner must have had loan issues.  they left a voicemail instructing to call 877-830-7667.  i called and the customer service person apologized and said the calls should stop between 24-48 hours.  it's sallie mae debt collection.

Does anyone else have the same problem with sallie mae as I do? Even though I have paid them, they still keep calling an harassing me-sometimes as much as 6 or 7 times a day and all from different numbers.

Phone calls from 607-562-4732 begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue all day at approximately 2 hour intervals.
No message is ever left.  This has been going on daily for at least 2 weeks.

Then you can sue them if the debt is indeed not yours and is showing up on your credit regardless and without proof..
You send them a cease and desist along with a request for debt validation according to the FDCPA laws..  Follow the steps in what you need to know.

Said they were Dept. of Ed. Sallie Mae. They claim I owe them money, but I never took a loan from SLM Corp. I asked for validation many times and they just ignore it and wreck my credit (good thing I don't give a s*** about a number).

This number calls but doesn't leave a message

I assumed this was a call from my college asking for money (they never leave messages, either) since it's the same area code. Looks like I'm wrong, according to this. I just paid ALL my bills this week, I shouldn't be harassed by them! I get calls at LEAST 5 times a day.

It is not Sallie Mae. The number links to Department of Ed SM, 325 Daniel Zenker Drive, NY 14814. I keep getting calls as well, and I have no debt.

I just received a call showing as "Dept of Ed Sm", they didn't leave a message.  I called the number back and nothing, no ring, no sound.  Again I tried calling and it came back stating "no incoming calls are being accepted".

This number has called a few times no message then call back it hangs up.

This number has called twice today. Answered the call the second time only to hear a few seconds of hold music and then they hung up. Tried to call back, but the call was answered and disconnected almost immediately. No clue who it is or what they want, seems like nothing more than a waste of time.
