Said they were from the attorney generals office and were issuing a warrant for my arrest

I just checked my voice mail a heard this quack name Jason Cooper informing me that there is an arrest warrant out for me under my name and social...he/she sound like a foreigner...i Bing the (607)595-2333 number and learned I was being scam by a s****y leg foreigners...

He has now changed his scam, or he has multiple ones going on. My wife and I recently ran into a financial crisis so I applied for a payday loan online....biggest mistake, besides all the b***s*** emails I get, along with spam texts, I now have this guy, and others calling me telling me I am approved for a loan but to recieve it they have to verify something or another, I'm not sure since he doesn't speak english very well, but they have to verify something and to do so I need to go buy this prepaid reload card, something similar to a greendot reload card, and put 250 on it, and then call him back with the card number and pin and then my loan will be distributed to me. What a load of crap.. I just can't believe that people really fall for it. Really, your going to loan me money but first you want me to spend 250 dollars on a card, and then I'm going to give you that card number and you expect me to believe that. Who in their right mind believes this guy, I have to spend money in order to borrow money? Yeah right!!!!!
And just a comment to any of you who said that this actually scared you a bit for a minute.....Under American law you CANNOT be jailed for an unpaid debt. That was one of the huge reasons we fought for our freedom from england. Not only did people not have freedom of religion, but back then a person could be jailed for pretty much the rest of their life for even a SMALL unpaid debt. So if I loaned you the equivalent of 50 dollars back then and you didn't pay me back, I could go to the police or a judge and have you locked up for it then blackmail your family to pay me and it was very common, and that was one of the big things that we broke away from england for. They made sure to put into the law that a person cannot be jailed for unpaid debt so if anyone ever tells you some crap like that you know right there that it is a scam. The only debt you can be jailed for is a debt to a city, county, or state for a fine of some sort that you didn't pay, and in that case you are not techinically being jailed for the debt, you are actually being jailed for the original crime, which you failed to complete your due consequences. So don;t ever be fooled by any threats like that.

Got the same thing here,I knew it was a scam so I took my other phone and called them back and told them that I was investigating this matter on behalf of the state of Alabama,they said they was sorry it wasn't them.And I never heard from them again.......LMAO

These jerks are more than jerks but I will keep it clean. These a***s hardly speak English but yet they use common names like "Dan Smith, etc".  What a joke!! They tell u a warrant is out for your arrest -which you would never get a call telling you that - and they change their phone number on a daily basis. I called the Attorney General's office and they know about these morons and its such a scam. If you don't know the number - just don't answer.  Hahaha. They have been calling my husbands ex as she has the same first initial and kept my husband's name. She keeps emailing my husband and we have told her its a damn scam. (That will teach her to keeps husband's name / it's NOT her's anymore. Oh well. LOL Payback ....

Got a call from Justin smith telling me that I was going to be arrestes at my home. That he had my ss# and I needed to call back immediately. He was from the state investigators department of the attorney of the generals office. REALLY NOW  can you say SCAM!

Yep, this guy has called twice now this week. Also, saying I'd be arrested tomorrow. I was very tempted to call him back out of concern until I got online and saw all of your posts.

this mike taylor called me in october and told me i defaulted on a loan. I tol him to stop calling. then he called in december saying that he was looking for my sister and that the sheriff was coming to my house to arrest her if she didn't pay. i told him that he's stupid and that my sister didn't even live in the same town as me. now the dumb a** called me today saying the same b***s***. i told him i was turning his number over to the fbi.

I got a call from this number and was told I needed to re-pay a loan I took from years ago. Said I had today to pay it off or else he would be issuing a warrant for my arrest. I read the stories on here and they are similiar to the call I received. Can I say SCAMMED?! This person or people need to be stopped!

Block all his numbers and report him. Don't let these wimps intrude your life.

He called me today saying he was adam  smith from the state department and that at this time tomorrow i was going to be arrested. It was very upsetting to me seeing as how i have a baby girl and a brand new job. I am very pissed off right now

I got a call today from this number. He left a message saying I am going to be arrested tomorrow. At the end he said may god arrest you. Omg who says that? I called him back and started asking him all kinds of questions, he hung up on me

They have been calling me over the last month i actually sent them a payment thought it was for real till now ..

I just finished recieving a call from Mike Taylor telling me they are coming to get me tomorrow if I don't pay for a defaulted loan from last year.  I repeatedly asked him for his full real name and the company he work for and he told me not to argue with him that they would come and arrest me.  It was a complete joke.

This number called me twice. It was a debt collector.

I got a call from 607-595-2333 telling me I owed for a loan.  Since my name is really common I am used to these calls, I said I think you have the wrong person.  He gave me a ss# that was not mine.  I said you have the wrong person he said you are Teresa Grant I said yes I am one of many!  He had a very strong accent it was hard to understand him.  I said tried to tell him he had the wrong person he said I know who you are I need to read you this EIGHTY page affidavit and then we will come get you!  I hung up the phone.

Mike Taylor who could barely speak english said i was going to be arrested for non-payment of a payday loan (i never took out) and that i needed to pay with a green dot money pack card i stoppped answering but they keep calling, they also said they work foe the FBI and a lawyer but when i called back they answered by saying hello only if it was a lawyers office they would identify.... this is ridiculous..

MIKE TAYLOR CALLED AND STATED  THAT I WOULD BE ARRESTED . HE DIDN'T WHY.

He called me too, said his name was mike taylor and that i need to pay 630 on a default loan or there would be an arrest warrant issued for me.

This number and a CA number called me telling me I had a warrant out for my arrest for non payment of a payday loan and I have never received any kind of loan.
