I am an alumnus of Binghamton University (class of '69).  I have no idea how they acquired my cell phone number, but I receive several calls each year from this number and have never answered.

Just got the call also.  I went there.  No, you cannot have my cash.  Sorry, guys.

Please stop calling me.  I have enough troubles already and, unless I become rich, I will not be making any donations, despite my attending there.

Why?

Because I attended there--it was a good experience, but I am not in a position to make a donation, at this time, while "Rome Burns," and there are truly LIBERAL causes (like http://fairewinds.com/, that need my money more the SUNY-Binghamton does.  That's right--I didn't use your "new" moniker, of "BU," because I PAID my $ to SUNY-Binghamton, and "BU" sounds like Boston University to me--nothing against Boston--just sayin'.

Called several times but don't leave any messages. Caller ID said Binghamton University, so I assume they are looking for money. BTW my son graduated from that school.

I got a call from 607-777-2022 at 2:30am from some guy who sounded to be pretending to have an Arab accent SCREAMING and cursing at me because I allegedly called a cab and made him wait 45 minutes outside my house. He knew my name, which was really kind of creepy. I don't live anywhere near that area code and I most certainly didn't call a cab. What the hell is this?!

I got a call and it was some lady ordering a salad.. then she asked for someone in my family..i asked to take a message and she said she would call back later?

I called the number and got a recorded message that said (paraphrase) "you have reached Binghamton University. If you are calling this number based on a display on your caller Id, we have no way of telling what number called you."

so it could be anyone from BU, for me most likely it was someone looking for money

I got a call from this number. I made a google search and found out that this number belongs to Binghamton University. So, if somebody is pretending to have an Arab accent and knowing your name -  at the other end is most probably your own friend who is a student in that University :-)

Said they were ms. cleo and then left a voicemail saying "do you have any money"

Yeah, same weird thing for me ... I go to grad school there and they just called asking for "Monique" - I don't think I even know a Monique =P

Continual calls. No one there. Finally I picked up on the first ring and it was for my husband who went to Binghamton U. They are looking for donations for something!

Hung up when answering machine came on.

Binghamton University has a large network of telephones on campus that all go through a hub. When calling on campus, each phone has an extension number. When calling to an off-campus phone, the calls all go through one hub resulting in the single caller ID# 607-777-2022. Unfortunately, there is no way to trace the call back to the extension it originated at.

Someone called from this number, but hung up without leaving a message. When I tried to call back I got a recording which said "You have reached Binghamton University. If you are calling based on a number left on your caller ID, we have no way of knowing who previously called." Then it disconnects.  My Son goes to school there. I wish they would leave a message so I would know if it is important or not...

We weren't home to answer this call, but they left a message. It was Binghamton University calling to congratulate my son for getting accepted for admission.

I also got a call from a guy who got angry when I told him he had the wrong number. He called me at 2:30am and started screaming and cursing at me for allegedly order a cab and never coming outside to get in it. I don't live anywhere even remotely close to Binghamton. He freaked me out a little cause Sarah is my name and ironically, he got it right. Really annoying.

Caller asked for Sarah but had my cell phone number. Didn't seem phased when it wasn't the right number.

I did a Google search on the phone number and it pulls up a department from Binghamton University. My brother is a graduate and I believe it is a solicitation to donate or something like that.
