Person said they are from Performant. Would not tell me what they wanted till I verified my address. I hung up on them. Blocked the number and won't ever answer again.

Just started getting the calls a couple of days ago, tried talking to them and the first thing they wanted was my ss# to see if I had an account with them.....they hung up when I said no. It appears the name is PRI.

This number is a bill collector. Student loans ect. If you do not answer it they will just keep calling. Do not give out personal information to them! Never give your SS# to anyone you do not know and trust.

Its someone called PRI who tries to find out info on applicants that have defaulted on school loans, got that much out of them!!!

Have been getting calls from this number, which registers from Elmira, NY. I know no one in Elmira, so I don't answer the call and there's never a message.

Just like to comment on those who are stating caller is saying from Texas, CA etc but that call shows Elmira NY.. In this day and age, you have to remember that many use Google Voice and then dont have to go around telling new numbers when move and update cell phone to local. I use Google Voice and selected a NY phone number (one that was easy for my kids to remember) yet dont live in NY. I didnt feel like the hassle of changing even my google voice number to be WI when I have a number I can easily remember (got to pick which numbers I wanted back then).
So you cant use that against someone.
However, I have been getting calls from this number, no message and they are calling my google voice number and are not leaving a message. Guess it is a scammer or something for still using same number. THinking a scammer would be done with that number by now, so maybe something else.

Called asking about a neighbor, said his company was PRI and the neighbor was an applicant but asked questions that would have been answered on an application.

Called and said he was calling from CA but registered Elmira, NY - said he was asking about a neighbor - if I knew her....told him I didn't. Don't know exactly what he was looking for - seemed to have a map right in front of him - like he knew exactly where I lived...
