Unsolicited call, I'm on the do not call list, I blocked the number.

Your information is incorrect.  Since 2009, no one can call you to sell you something unless you have specifically given them your WRITTEN permission to do so.  You do not have to be on the Do Not Call list for this legislation to apply.  Once you have told them to stop calling you, they must do so immediately, not in a few days.  Even if you had a prior agreement, they must honor your request to stop calling.  I always ask these scam artists to mail me a copy of my written permission BEFORE I will speak to them.  They never call again.  See the Federal Trade Commission Facebook page for more info.

Robocall recording; like other recent posts here, my Caller ID said "BACK PAIN RELI" - the recording was the usual scam: no cost or obligation, to get free info press 1, etc.  My favorite part of the spiel was "If we reached you by mistake or you would like to be removed from our affiliate client list, then just press 2 and your number will be immediately removed" - by mistake?  ...when their robodialer calls every number in sequence?

My husband has received calls from this number and they don't say anything. His number is listed on Do Not Call , but this number still gets through!!

Keeps calling

I did not answer this call, as I did not recognize the area code or number. Probably about my car warranty, from what others have said. Yeah, this "Do Not Call" really works, huh. NOT!

Here's an idea - after reading a page of the above posts (of which there are 5) and realizing this company keeps disregarding the "Do Not Call" list I think we should all keep a whistle handy - next time the phone number appears press "Answer" and blow the whistle as hard as we can!   Then disconnect the call.
After this happens enough perhaps the calls may stop?  Anyone?  If anyone else has a better idea I'd like to hear it.  I do think this needs to be a collective effort to be effective.

Why report it, you all do about as much good as the call.

I find the above comments very interesting, as the caller ID for this number is"back pain relief"!  I didn't answer figuring it was a telemarketer of some type----or scam.

Repeated unwanted calls.  Got to be a way to find out who it is and sue it for violating Do Not Call laws.

Id said "BACK PAIN RELIEF"   so I called them back...all they want is your private info to sell to other tele-marketers. They will settle for anything they can get--your name, medicare number, bank numbers, address, credit card numbers, just any kink of info they can get you to give them. Well, to put it lightly, I gave then a lot, hope they have fun with it (lol).

Never press 2 to be removed, that's telling them them that your number is a live & active number.  Ignore the call they will get tired of calling.

They did not leave a msg. Called them back to see who it was, all I got was a recording saying "To be put on our do not call list, please press 1". No ident info from their end.

However, I am not entering any information whatsoever to an unknown recipient. Sorry, been there done that, got the tee shirt on the internet. It can backfire.

Only reputable companies abide by the Do Not Call List.  Just because you are on the DNC list does not mean you will never, ever, ever get telemarketer calls.  The DNC list does not magically block calls from heading your way.  If you owe anyone money, sometimes the collectors pretend to be a sales type caller to try and get information.  Just don?t answer any call from a number you are not familiar with.

Got a call from this number today. As with any number I do not recognize I do not answer. Answering machine showed the number as Back Pain Relief. You should all know that if you fill out any forms on  line or purchase anything on line you really should read the fine print. When you click on Agree to Terms or Complete Transaction you could be giving your consent to share your contact and other information. The internet is neither crooked or stupid. Just some people who use it are.

A note to parents: your children may be sharing information that could give the wrong people access to certain information that could cause you great financial harm. And you will not know it until it's too late.

WASTING TO MUCH TIME CALLING ME

This is a business phone.  I keep receiving calls that hang up when answered. I need to stop the harassing calls insofar as it interferes with my business. I dialed the number back and pressed 1 to be placed on the do not call list.

Same here but when I called back and pressed 1 after a day, the calls did stop, whew!

these sorry sobs keep calling me..and I'd shoot their a***s if I knew who they were..
