Called on Feb. 4 at 11:45 while I was @ work.
I'm on Federal & Do Not call lists but these laws are neither respected nor enforced.
I don't answer strange numbers when I'm home.
If important, they can leave a voice mail.
It generally takes about 10 calls from the same number before the firm gives up.

If I ever find these a hole life alert for seniors scammers they're the ones who had better be wearing the life alert! They try to cheat the elderly by frightening them.

CallerID indicates I got a call from the number (with name "WISCONSIN CALL" on Feb. 4 at 11:45 PM.
If I were home I would not have answered this strange number.
This firm does not respect "Do Not Call" lists.

This phone number (608-318-4442) calls my place of business from time to time. When I answer, there is no one there.
Tom 2013-01-11 23:22:29 Unknown
It's "Life Alert for Seniors"trying to rip you off! Don't answer or you will most likely be taken advantage of.

I am suddenly getting more and more of these calls from various numbers, even though I am on the no call list. I hope everyone has reported this number.
Elizabeth Newton 2013-01-09 20:08:45 Unknown
I have been receiving unwanted calls from this number for at least two months.
jackielynnn 2013-01-04 17:35:10 Unknown
Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. Again. They had been calling me at least once a day about a month ago, and then stopped. I file a complaint EACH TIME these scumbags call with the FCC (http://www.fcc.gov/complaints) AND the Do Not Call registry (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2). EVERYONE needs to do this! They can't do anything if they're not inundated with information and complaints. If we're all persistent and annoying enough (a la Shawshank Redemption style, anyone?), maybe something will finally be done.
whose # is this???? 2013-01-03 20:57:56 Unknown
THIS CALL COMES IN AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK--ALWAYS A RECORDING. LATEST CALL CAME ON
THURSDAY, JAN. 3, 2013---CALLED THE # BACK--RECORDING SAYS THIS # IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE. I'M ASKING---IF THIS # IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE, HOW ARE THEY ABLE TO PLACE LONG DISTANCE OR ANY OTHER CALLS. I'M UNDERSTANDING "NO LONGER IN SERVICE" MEANS BEING
DISCONNECTED?????? THERE MUST BE A WAY TO FIND OUT WHERE THESE CALLS ORIGINATE AND
WHO IS MAKING THEM. THEY DON'T SEEM TO QUALIFY FOR THE DO NOT CALL LIST. SO HOW DO WE STOP THEM FROM INVADING OUR PRIVACY???
Kathy 2013-01-03 15:53:27 Telemarketer
SOoooo sick of this # calling me ...Waited for someone to get on the other end
When they did I asked them to take my # off their call list ...now I receive 3 calls a day
Do these ppl not understand anything ? So much for the DO NOT call LIST !!!!

Called my home number and I didn't answer. They then called my cell number. This has happened on more than one occasion and their recorded message is for a medical alert for the elderly. There is NO connection between my home number and my cell number other than the "no-call list". Makes one wonder!!!!

In Wisc they elect a guy called the Attorney General whose job it is to take care of violations of State statutes.
He runs a little complaint thing to to take citizen complaints about violations, public nuisances and the like among them do not call complaints. Have you ever bothered to let him know that number is a nuisance?
Do you know who this guy is ? How about his name? Never heard of him?? Did you ever hear of him do anything whatsoever ?
Get out the vaseline folks! Politicos pass laws to make us feel good and pretend they're dealing with these little problems. They don't budget for enforcement however, and here we are -as usual.

Answered this call - still "Are you a Senior Citizen? I hung up. Again and again. Waiting for my phone service to be released. When the voice was urgently proclaiming, "the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Foundation" I just pressed a random # *4 or 5) and held it - if I was going to have to wait for the whole recording, I wasn't going to have to listen to it. When I let go, the voice politely said, "Thank you. You will not be contacted again." Wouldn't it be great if that were true?

It's unfortunate that these scammers try to take advantage of the elderly and uneducated .If you're elderly or uneducated it's best not to answer their calls or you will get ripped off !

Paul Ryan and Ron Johnson have both accepted "gifts" from the Telemarketing Industry, so there is little hope of them doing anything to protect us from this abuse.

Received a call from this automated scam site. They continue to violate both the Federal and State do not call lists and keep getting away with it. When are our so called elected officials going to do something about this abuse.

Just called the FTC and reported them. Trying to scare seniors into getting a "free" medical alert bracelet.

They call our business once a week at night, when you call them back it says the number isn't in service...

I have been getting these for weeks. They never leave a message so I blocked them. I did trying calling back once and got a message saying that number was not in service. I am reporting the number and hope everyone else will do the same.X

Said it was an important message for senior citizen, offering a free medical alert & press 1 for more information. We pressed 1 & waited to tell them to take us off their calling list...no one was there. Just hung up.

I have received repeat calls from a number my caller ID shows as 608-318-4442.
It's a robo-call; the first line of the pitch is "Are you a senior citizen?" At this point, I usually just hang up, but the frequency of the calls is increasing. Today, I listened to the pitch. It mention the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association, but does not claim to be affiliated with either organization.
The call goes on to say that there has been an increase in wait time for senior who call for police or fire assistance, then just cuts off.
I hope that by having listened to the spiel, I have stopped the calls, but have only limited faith in that concept.
AT&T only allows me to block up to 10 numbers. These outfits usually figure that out and call from a different number. I could buy a call blocker, but why should I have to lay out a hundred bucks to stop these unwanted calls? We are already on both the state and the Federal DO NOT CALL lists. How does a scam like this get around the law?
