Search on "Caller ID Spoofing" and "Outbound Only Telephone Numbers" for possible explanations for these "Not In Service" messages when calling back numbers that just called you.

Called and left no message.  This is not the first time.  When I tried calling back it said it was no longer in service.  But amazingly enough it was in service about 15 minutes earlier when that number called my home.  Go figure.

I just got this same call. I knew the protocol as I have had one of these before. I knew it was a scam, but I was interested in the timing of this call! I had just (within the hour) contacted Time Warner, with whom I  subscribe to internet, phone and cable, for a service call. I am wondering: How do these people get our numbers???

Called telling my computer dowloaded some bad files... had bad accent of oriental origin.
I asked some questions in return... like what computer? where?  did not answer and hooked in...
Just another scammer try to ask for information, could be your bank account, ask you to remote your PC, or whatever... do not give any info over the phone unless you call yourself a place you know who you are calling... take this advise!!!
