You and I know that wasting the "card services" scammer's time is the best way to get their annoying calls to stop--I don't know why people keep asking for solutions, but apparently don't want to try what we have both suggested and found to work. Maybe they don't think it works, or possibly they feel it's too time consuming? Or could it be the calls are to a cellphone without unlimited minutes? Making up a "script" and spending 10-20-30 minutes on the phone with these lowlifes a few times, until the calls stop, saves a lot of annoyances down the line. Sure, once in a great while I'll get a call as new operation springs up, but those are also quickly eliminated by using the same method.

I have been getting calls from that "Credit Services" scam daily for over a year now; nothing seemed to help till I came up with the following: Collected some phony credit card numbers (go google for those), and made a list to keep in my wallet (the rest of the info you can make up yourself).
Then they called me today: Press #1. Answered by "Jay agent 2929". Do you want to lower your rate? Yes (very politely :-). More than 500- on your balance? Yes. Never missed a payment? Yes. Gave her a ZIP, D.O.B, last 4 of (phony) SSN. (phony) Discover Credit Card number. Then they put me on music for a while. So I disconnected. Then she calls again. I apologized that got disconnected. She said there was some problem; asked what kind of discover card (they seem to be experts on credit cards).  I told her I moved, and gave her a prior ZIP. Then she tried again ......
So --- waste their time !!!   Eventually they'll remove your number from their list !!!

These people called me 9:49 PM Eastern time when I was sleeping. I filed an FCC complaint, even though I know it won't matter.

It's worth trying, but with their altered minds the drug addicted card services scammers would simply put their headset on the other ear, and make another scamming attempt. They're desperate,so it would take two blasts of the horn to have any effect!

George, that's what we all need to do. I use a handheld horn every time I get a call. There is no government agency that can stop these clowns. Stand up, have a good laugh and make these a***s deaf. It's the only way.

Do it. Works for me. If everyone bought a loud a** foghorn we wouldn't have this problem. It's pretty tough to answer a phone when you're deaf.

Do press 1 if you are prepared. There is nothing that can be done about these robo-calls. The FBI, FTC, BBB, good luck. That's a big line of b***s***. If everyone would go down to their local hardware store and buy a portable air horn (13 bucks), press one and wait for the so called representative and then let that s*** rip. It's pretty tough for a scammer to answer a phone when they are deaf. I'm tired of these calls. Time to take some action. These agencies meant to protect us can't do s***. Reporting them does nothing. Stand up. Plus, it feels good.

I doubt that even the fog horn could get through to the drug addled brains of the card service scammers,You can tell by their language that their brains have already been permanently damaged by the abuse to their bodies.

You were called by the drug-addicted card service scammers. As reported in the Oct-Nov 2012 issue of the AARP bulletin the callers are mainly addicts "working" as scammers, on a commission, trying to rip folks off to earn money for their drugs.People (creatures) like these have no morals or feelings for others, just the drive to get money for their addictions, and that's the reason yourself and others have been treated in that fashion. We need to keep in mind the decent people in society don't act this way--you were called by a lowlife druggie.

So far I have 19 different blocked numbers on my cell phone.  All of these blocked numbers have the same basic recorded message about lowering interest rates on credit cards.  My number is listed on the "Do not call" service, yet these criminals continue to do so.  FCC or cell phone providers SHOULD be able to do something!!!

got a call said to please stop calling as the number you are calling is next to someone who is on their death bed from stage  ovarian cancer.. What did the guy say? He said "well let me ask you one question".... How do you know she is on their death bed"

I was shocked that this a** would question whether someone is dying or not while committing a crime calling someone on a do not call list and someone who has asked to be removed from their system countless times.

I wish it was the wild wild west I would have no problem taking this persons life with a response soo negligible and disrespectful.. but today I won't risk my own life and jail by committing a useless crime. I am infuriated these calls are taking moments away from the last moments with my mom. Who does that?

And to the FTC go F yourself... you are the most pathetic organization that gets billions to handle these kinds of things annually.. Another waste of our tax dollars.

I still don't understand how a scam that is this incompetent can last so long.   I've been getting 3-8 calls a day for the last week from this number alone.  I waste their operators time as much as possible.  It's f****ng obvious that I'm the only one answering the phone and that I am NOT going to fall for the scam.

I have a proven track record of tying up their operators;you'd think they would, at some point, see the wisdom in not wasting their time on someone they'll never get money out of.

These telmarketing companies actually GET new numbers to use!  Maybe the phone companies need to have a more vigilent task force reviewing who is getting these new numbers.  Maybe the Gov't should heavily fine the phone comapnies as well!!

They called. Stated they were account services. When I asked to be taken off the list, the woman said, "What are you stupid or something?". Yeah, reported to my phone company AND to my bank as an attempt to scam.

I repeatedly get calls from the same numbers with the same old scams...  I can't stand that ever single time I put my number and the numbers calling me on the do no call registry it doesn't matter, because they call from another number.  Same sh-t. It's supper frustrating.  Does anybody have any recommendations?  Maybe there are ways to take further action.  The one thing at this point is I rarely answer these numbers from states and area codes I don't recognize.  If they are someone of importance they make sure to find me somehow someway.   You can't answer or then you will wind up be forwarded to a scam about some account that does not exist etc...  I for one only have one credit card so if they were to call me from account services they would properly address themselves.  Why wouldn't any company that had an account with you and you help services with them not address you immediately?  What to we do when they will call from another number a few days later?  What's the average per week amount of calls one person is getting from each number I get at least  4-6 per week.....

Another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers in their attempts to rip us off. Google my name to learn how to stop their annoying calls, while also having some fun!

They called today.
If I don't know the number, I don't answer anymore.
They can leave a message if it's someone I should talk to.
Thanks for the website!

There is an app for mobile phones called Call Control.  You can add numbers to a Blacklist basically blocking them.

I currently have 26 numbers for Card Services in my contacts that are set to silent and no vibrate ring tones.  I add them as they come along.  Now they've gotten smart - I used to dial them back to see who answered and now they go to a non-working callback number.

Lots of people say don't answer, but that doesn't stop them - they call regardless if you answer or not.  Just the fact they got a ringing number entices them to continue to call.

I am getting calls on my cell phone just like a lot of people. I feel this is very invasive. They are getting to us even when we are not home and using up our minutes. This needs to be stopped, but I don't know how. If anyone knows, please post it.

I have placed my phone on the do not call registry and still receive many robo calls. Today the call came from 608-534-1401. My phone was on silent so I did not answer and it did not go to vm. I am reporting this number however.
