Calling me about a Walmart credit card...that I've never had. They call frequently, even though I already explained that they have the wrong number. So now I've just set my cell phone to hang up on them automatically.

I would prefer a letter in the mail not 15 calls through out the day

Where do i get the FTC number? I would rather a notice then a call.

Place them on the black list or reject list on your phone. That's exactly what i did on my cell phone. the phone never rings. I hear ya, I'm living week to week and if I HAD the money, then I'd damn well pay them the money. Do I like these phone calls heck no, but I can only do so much.

These people are very nasty and I refuse to give money over the phone. They say I owed $12 on my Walmart card which has gone up to $85. I have never received a bill from Walmart which i closed over a year ago.

They seem to keep calling.

I mailed them a Cease and Desist letter on 7/31 - and they are bound to have it by now - but they just change to other numbers  - so far - let's see

These morons call me EVERY 1/2 hour from one of 10 different numbersI have for these clowns. They are calling my cell phone(which I have had for 5 years) looking for somebody who isn't me. I tell them I am not the person they are looking for, but yet they continiously call. If this was an ex-wife, she'd be in jail for harrassment for this kind of crap.

I agree with your statement. I also reported them with no results!!! If a class action law suit would be nice. I have been in the hospital and nursing home for two months a the threaten my daughter..So if you plan to sue respond to your message and let me know.

Yep.  NCO.  5 Calls today.  Talk to the voice mail.

NCO is known for violating debtor rights. I was receiving calls but no messages from this company from 10 diff #s starting at 5:30 am - even tho I answered many times to tell them it was 5am in PST but my cell phone has an EST area code. I reported the calls in batches to the ftc - after 3 complaints - the calls stopped and they finally sent a letter stating what they were calling for - the walmart credit card - then the calls began again even tho by law I have a right to ask them to stop calling a limited cell phone and have written them the first time stating what the situation is and will not have an update every week unless I win the lottery. I REPORTED THEM FOR THE 4TH TIME TODAY. they also call from private numbers you will find just a few minutes after you don't answer one of their calls. just keep googlling to see if it is them, send them a certified letter from your PHONE NUMBER ONLY with a POB address or else on it (has to have an address) and tell them to stop calling and that you have reported EVERY CALL TO THE FTC AND THAT YOU HAVE A RECORD OF EVERY CALL. i plan to sue them for harassment.

I receive phone calls from this number on a daily basis and they never leave a message, they call every 1-2 hours which is annoying.

It's NCO. I know that I owe money on a credit card. The credit card balance owed is $100. The card I owe on was lost or stolen, and I reported it. While I am trying to get the card situation handled, I am continually being harassed by NCO. I have told them that once I receive my bill, and figure out the card situation, I will pay.

After calling my cell phone the immediately call the house phone. I get calls on Sundays, and after 9pm almost every day. I know that there are different time zones, but I thought they were meant to follow my time zone. They call from different area codes, don't leave messages, and are rude. I will pay, but I prefer not to do it with this company.

I got a call ON MY WORK NUMBER from these people.  They did not leave a message, and they've (so far) only called once.   However, *if* this call was a legitimate collection agency, I guarantee you that I have no outstanding debt but MOREOVER, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE MY WORK NUMBER.

Clearly this is a spam call and the fact that they're calling work numbers at a major corporation means I'm reporting them to the FCC immediately.

First call asked to talk to me then hung up.  I called back politely when I saw these posts, I never miss a bill on purpose and wanted to make sure I was squared up.  This is indeed a collection company and oh man is she nasty!  I had a balance of $26.00 on my credit card that I never got a bill for and she treated me like I was a wanted felon.

I received a call from this number earlier. As usual, there was no answer. I called the number back, and got a computerized voice which said "your call is very important. please wait for the next available agent". Approximately 10 seconds later, a human voice said "thank you for calling nco". the call was then terminated. the best available research indicates the number may belong to NCO Financial. Further research indicates that NCO Financial is a debt collection agency which has many complaints files against it because of the way they do business, quite often outside the boundaries of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
