Received message 6/2/2013 at 6PM from 610-577-6432: "BENEFICIAL ALERT: YOUR CARD 422XX has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 610-957-5041."  Called number, got recording asking me to enter 16-digit bankcard number.  I have no Beneficial Bank account so I did not enter anything, but called Beneficial Bank to find out what this was about, in case someone is using my name or number to open accounts.  They said this text is a fraud, a phishing attempt to try and find Beneficial Bank customers who might enter in their card numbers so they can be stolen. They have received many reports and will notify criminal investigation authorities to track down the perpetrators of the fraud.  DO NOT REPLY to this message. As noted above, This phone/text number is the perpetrator of bank card & bank account fraud.
