I will fowarding my number to this fax number between when I go bed until I wake up:hopefully they call now and fax people personal health information to them. Looks like its 50,000 per violation. I recommend everyone who reads this to do so. Maybe this will be the end of this...

Got two phone calls from Quest Diagnostics from a fax machine at 5am MT.  I called back the number and their help desk (outsourced to India obviously) actually answers calls made to 610-65--2300 with something like "Quest IT support services, are you receiving repeat phone calls or fax calls?"

I agree with one of the previous posts...it is against the law to send protected health information to someone other than who the patient allows.

They blocked my number... and I just now got a third call!  The IT support person said the block will work soon and to ignore any calls that come in the next short while.

Good thing I don't have my fax turned on, otherwise some poor soul's health information would be sent to me.  I'm going to file a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights who enforces HIPAA on behalf of Health and Human Services.  I encourage others who read this to go to the complaint web site: http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/complaints/index.html

Maybe the OCR will investigate and take action if enough of us speak up and Quest will hire people who can enter doctor fax numbers in correctly, or Quest will put a QA process in place to ensure PHI is sent ONLY to the intended recipient.

This number called me in the middle of the night four times.

I have received 4 telephone calls today from Quest Diagnostic! My 2nd call was a live individual whom stated " I have critical information for a patient" I then informed her that she had the wrong telephone number. After that the calls keep coming.  I can't understand why such a professional establishment can't seem to get it right!  What ever happened to HIPPA???

I received a 5 calls from this company, make that 6 calls (one just came in) in the last 15 minutes.  When I answer all I hear is a continuous beep.  When I called the number back, they seem clueless as to what was happening

I just called the number and they said they'd block it from calling me.  They called me 4 times within an hour!

610-650-2300 keeps calling me and there is only beeping on the other end.
Please make them stop or add them to the DO NoT call list. Jerks.
