The University of Minnesota asking for money. They call often. This time, they said that I "pledged $50 last October" and were wondering if I wanted to go through with my pledge and donate, now that the school year was over. I know for a fact I did not promise them $50!

I gave $ in my sons name once for the U of M and now they call looking for him asking for $.  He is 16 and has no $.  But there calling my business cell phone which is listed on the internet.  That had to be where they got it.  The minute you give you become a target.

The guy identified himself claiming he is from U of MN Alumni Association. Fair enough!
But then he was asking me where I worked, what kind of work I did, how do I like my job, what got me the job, ...
Just inappropriate and irrelevant because he was "curious."

Then he said he wanted a donation of $150 maybe at least $50 or at least $25.
I wouldn't mind supporting the school but this is was creepy.

this number appears when any random person uses a courtesy phone in any part of the U of MN.  There are many courtesy phones in all buildings..most in the medical center.  Could be a relative calling from the hospital or any random person.

I got a call to thank me for a "donation to the library" and the person's name was the same as a child of mine.    This is the second time I received a call from the same voice.   The first time the caller said I was overdue on a payment.  The girl that calls has an arrogant giggly laugh.

Received a call today from this number.  The caller ID said UofM.  This person wanted to "update" some information for his Professors database....I hung up.  He called right back and said "Wow, you must be a real f***in C***.  F*** U"...  then hung up.  

Wow, is all I can say.  Some kind of scam agency with very crude personnell.

It's a general line for the U of M clinics.  They are confiming appoinments, or following up on care.  If your not a patient, than just let them know they have the wrong number...someones life may depend  on it!

Got a call at 6:30 on a Sunday evening, called it back and a message stated "it was not a working number".

Yes the U of M trying to get money from you.

This number is the default number that shows up when a U of M caller doesn't use a "normal" outgoing phone line. So this number will show up when you are called from a courtesy phone, or if somebody's phone is setup to receive multiple numbers it is quite easy for this number to display on outgoing calls.

The caller always asks for nick.

University of Minnesota number.  Also used by their alumni association to ask for donations.  I'm not an alumni, but a friend gets calls from them at this number

"Not a working number"

received a call from 6123011800 today.  called it back.  message says "the number you have called is a nonworking number"..so I suspect it's an autobot-type robot phone calling people for fundraising or to sell tickets to an event, or who knows?

Just UM Dentistry School confirming my appointments

caller was a University of Minnesota medical clinic, the Masonic Cancer Center. It appears that this number is used by a number of different businesses.

I recieved a call from this number at 12:54 am no one on the othere end and I am not affiliated with the U of M

yes it is from u of m I get calls when there is confirmation for my son's ortho appts.

When that number showed up on my caller ID it turned out to be the Boynton Dental Clinic at the U of M calling to reschedule an appointment.  I think it is a general use number that shows up when outgoing calls are made from the University's telephone system.

It's the alumni association from the U looking for donations

I was called about a pill prescription from that number. I think it is the generic number for the University of Minnesota Health services.

My husband says it is the University of MN Dental school to confirm appt but I highly doubt that.
