They said that they were going to send me my medical card that everyone in the US is going to be recieving. They had all of my information but just needed my checking account information for verification. He insisted that it was not a scam. He also said that he was calling from Washington D.C.

Called and asked for me by my first name. When I confirmed it was me, male voice said they understood that I owed over $8,000 on my credit cards. I should have asked where he received this kind of information but unfortunately responded by hanging up

Phone rang - I answered - no one there but background noise was what sounded like a room full of people from India and a couple SE Asian voices talking 80 miles an hour. I finally hung up and checked the number from my caller id - this is it. They must be on an auto dialer system. Thanks for your info, I'll be ready for them if they call again!

The same people called me on 651-222-9131. They are a SS scam (they scare seniors into giving out check numbers to BUY a card or tell them their SS is increasing and they need a checking number to send it to) - they have called me a total of 36 times in 2 weeks. I talked to one of them that told me to F* myself repeatedly, and then asked for a number from my checkbook to "persuade me to stop calling you". Of course I wouldn't do that (how dumb does he think I am. They all sound Indian - however the one I engaged in conversation said he is in New York (but from Delhi)- sounds about right either way. I am so sick of them, I am finally employing the tactic of complaining to and at them for 10-20 minutes (or as long as it takes for them to hang up on me). I think they won't call many more times - it is a waste of their time.

Wanted to verify my checking account number before he sends me a "medical card". Scam, if you ask me!
