If they were legitimate, and not just telemarketing, then they would leave a message.

But they don't.  They just call and call and call and call some more.  I'm putting them into my call blocker.

Never give out information to someone who calls *you*!  Caller ID can be easily spoofed, so you have no way to tell who is REALLY on the other end of the line.  It could be anyone.  They could be trying to get your account information to pull a scam.

received a call obn my cell phone at 415 PM yesterday, Friday, a woman said to me, have u accessed your account on line and i told her no.  she said when did u last use it on line, i told her over a year ago.
also told her i do  not no u from adam,,,,,,,and this is probalby a phissing call....if i had any problems, my advisors would or should of been the first one to call me.  she said she was with the fraud dept at ameriprise, and my advisors do not have access to it, that she monitors illegal attempts to access accounts, and that is had been tried several times this week, and also in feb.........now thats weird, why no calls in february?????
when i got home i have caller id,, this same number was on my home phone 2 times, i choose not to have a recorder for unsolicited people calling, and so she could not leave me a message.  
I then called my advisor both of them, were in a nmtg., gave them the telephone number on my cell from talking to the woman who said she was a fraud person with ameriprise.......my advisor called the number, the woman had left for the day,,,,,anotehr person answered,,,,she said the woman that called me shut down my account, no access for anyone....
we shall see about this so called woman on MOnday during working hours for advisors, and will find out how legal or unlegal this call was,,,,,,,i gave her no information on my advisors, on my account on anything.......told her i would check with my advisors and she reccommended changing my screen name, also my password on all my accouants........but she did not ask me to do them with her........i will report back on monday on the so called fraud allert as she caleld it o rto te3ll you all if it is a phissing call.........please be ward........

I work for Ameriprise and the message said to confirm receipt of this message by pressing 1. However if my job wanted to get ahold of me they know how and usually it would be someone on the other end of the line. 'Im concerned this may be some kind of scam. I will find out after speaking to my leader.

I am not an Ameriprise customer and I still get these calls!

Getting a lot of calls from them -  2 with no message on my home phone, and 1 on my cell just today.  The message on my cell was virtually unintelligible; the caller's accent was so thick and it was so garbled that I had no idea what the call was about until I came to this site and could piece some words together.

Maybe you should ask your mommy or daddy. Ask one of them about the difference between "here" and "hear" while you're at it.

Same with me, didn't answer but they didn't leave a message.  Ameriprise customer as well, but they don't usually call.

Ameriprise again.  They left no message: jerks. It probably is legitimately them, but their services are a waste of time.  They just want you to invest more with them by trying to gain your confidence.

Just got a call from this number on my work cell phone. I have never been a customer of Ameriprise. They wanted to review my account information to which I replied which accout and they hung up.

Do NOT fall for this SCAM...check my caller ID when I come home when I found this one listed as Ameriprise, I looked for the message, there was none.  I have been an Ameriprise customer for years, THEY ALWAYS LEAVE A MESSAGE, this is b***s*** nonsense. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO. Also, the reps usually email rather than phone, but when they do use phone THEY LEAVE A DETAILED MESSAGE.......DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.     PLEASE, I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.....I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE FOR TOO LONG....THIS SCAM IS WAY OUT OF CHARACTER.....PLEASE LISTEN TO ME FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.....THESE PEOPLE ARE S****, THEY ARE NO GOOD CRAP.

Received a call from this number tonight. No message was left.

6/12/2012 3:15pm PST, received a call from 612-671-3131 (Minneapolis, MN) on my employer's phone (land line in California) which transferred to voicemail. The "message" was a long delay with background noises (clattering and white noise) but no verbal message

If this is Ameriprise, their phone use is *extremely unprofessional*.

I just got a call. Person sounded like a robot asking me is Was around. I did not say yes I asked, "Who is this?" they hung up....very weird

General rule: if the call isn't important enough to leave a message, don't waste my time (and yours) trying to contact me

The called again with no message.  I think I should close my accounts with Ameriprise, if they keep this up.

I have received a couple of calls from this number. One earlier this afternoon at my work number, which when I picked up there was no one there, and several times at my home number, where they leave no message. I do have an account with Ameriprise, but they have never called me in 5 or 6 years.

I do have accounts with them, but I am not interested in additional services.  All they do is waste my time.
