I don't answer calls I don't recognize. Inclarity (definition = unclear) keeps calling me and leaving silent messages. The company's website states that they offer "telephony." Shady

I am also a physician receiving repeated calls from In Clarity purporting to check insurance information.  This seems odd since I am almost entirely in research now, not patient care.

"Pamela" called and started to ask questions to verify information for my husband. We are both medical professionals.  The questions didn't seem to add up and she was very vague when asked who she was and why she was calling. Finally she apologized when I told her the information she had was wrong, and I searched Enclarity, which lead me to this site!

I am a physician assistant and I received a call from this number. She didn?t identified herself but she said that she work for an insurance company and she made reference to one of my previous job in a clinic. She asked me is my phone # was a good one to make contact with me again and when I asked for what she just mentioned that it was for the insurance company and hang up. Now I am worry and I hope she didn?t ?steal? my phone number to do long distance calls or something else.

I also have been getting these calls over the past year to my personal cell phone and whenever I tell them I am not going to verify anything because I don't know who they are, they hang up on me.  Getting tired of it.

I kept getting these calls to my home phone and finally was home to answer it. I tried to get the woman to explain why she needed my husband's information. I am a reasonably intelligent but couldn't get an answer I could understand. My husband is not a doctor of any kind (he is an educator), she kept referring to my home as an office. I finally told her " anyone who needs our new home address has it and I have no idea who you are" Finally go rid of her.

These people are calling you to verify your information so that they can turn around and sell that info to anyone who will buy it. DO NOT GIVE out your information over the phone, always ask them to CONFIRM what Fax number THEY have and fax you their request. None of them will because it's to much work. I work for a radiology practice, how many prescriptions have you received from your radiologist?? Ya thought so. SCAM

These people sent some lame fax to my office requesting I confirm information about my practice for local pharmacies.   I am a forensic pathologist and I assure you, my patients need no prescriptions.  Also, I have not written a prescription since medical school.

Sounds like BS to me.

Actually, everyone knows why we received calls or faxes.  What you do is have others provide you with information you then sell.  Since our providers don't have a business relationship with you already (or you wouldn't have to ask for basic contact information, would you?) you are interrupting the running of a business office that is never going to give you what you want.  Being pests to the point that emails are going out from security about not responding to your company in any way isn't a very good way to do business.  Enclarity is nothing but another data information company that hastles people, hoping to get information they can sell.  You have faxed us so you can use that information to solicit providers to sell services to them.  Which is why, of course, your "call center cannot accept inbound calls" since you would be buried under complaints about your continual and unremitting harassment.  Any program who a provider is affiliated with will have methods to contact them; they don't need your "help".  And, of course, coming onto this website devoted to rooting out scammers and trying to justify your actions makes you even more ridiculous.

This company is EnClarity, at https://www.enclarity.com/.  They collect and sell physician information.  The deal is, they try to get info from you personally, or from where you work, then solicit the provider for their services of getting his name out to the public so he can get patients.  They claim they don't solicit, which is obviously bologney.  At the medical school at the university and hospital where I work, we told them we wouldn't give them any information over the phone, no matter how many times they called, that a written request was needed, with a signed authorization from the provider themselves for release of information.  Well, we got faxes all right; about 300 overall, all of which went into the shredder, since they didn't have the signed authorization with them.  Then they started calling the clinical departments, and were also shut down there.  Run anything from them through the shredder, and refuse to give them any information over the phone.

I am a physician.
Yes, this does appear to be a phishing scam.  (I had almost sent the fax back when it occurred to me that it didn't sound right).  They did not have a single thing right about where I practice.  They sent the fax to the location of the parent company of one of the places I do contract patient care, but I have NEVER worked at that site.
The NY Dental Society web site (in the place where I looked) implies you shouldn't respond, and the Missouri Dental Association directly suggests not responding.
The "Enclarity Response" above appears to be a cut and paste of their publicity blurb.
I, too, am angry about this.

Enclarity is using the pseudo-governmental words to fill their commercial database, so they can then sell the information to others. This data-mining is NOT required for you to respond to. The NY Dental Assn has advised their members to ignore the requests. As many of the comments above note, the insurance companies and pharmacies all know your information, and you do not unless you want to throw your info into their checkbook. Now, if they PAID me to confirm my info, I would consider prostituting my info for financial gain, but not for free. Let's talk price and I'll think about it.

Enclarity, Inc. responds:

Thank you very much for your comments on this page. You may be wondering why you may have received a telephone call or fax from Enclarity requesting information about you or your healthcare provider practice, as well as who we are.

Enclarity is an information solutions company that works with health insurance plans, preferred provider organizations (PPOs), pharmacy benefit managers, property and casualty insurance carriers, and life science companies (pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers) to correct and manage the demographic information about healthcare providers like you.

Why have we contacted you?
The ARRA Act requires that all Personal Health Information (PHI) communication, including prescription renewal requests to be secure. If we have faxed you, it is because we need to verify that your fax is secure and can be used for transmitting PHI communication. It?s important that you review and confirm or update the provider name, address, phone, and fax included on the form. If we have called you, we are contacting you to verify that you are practicing at a location we have listed for you in our database.

We want to ensure that the address, phone, and fax are correct for that location. Because demographic information about healthcare providers changes frequently, we are checking to see if the practice location that we have in our database is accurate or needs to be updated. Once your information is verified, we can pass it back to our customers, so they can pay claims, maintain provider directories or communicate with you, such as for prescription renewals.

Some of you noted that we tried to reach you on more than one occasion, and that our call center did not simply leave a message, something that may have caused frustration. Unfortunately, our call center cannot accept inbound calls at this time, and for this reason must attempt subsequent calls until we can reach you.

To help you, we have created an FAQ page on our website that we hope will answer any questions that you may have. To learn more, please visit:

http://www.enclarity.com/providerfaqs.php

By taking a few minutes to review the provider data verification form that we fax to you, or to speak with an Enclarity representative on the telephone, we can validate and update the information about your practice in our database.

We hope the website link above will help you better understand why this is so important. Thank you!

I received a fax from this company two times, all the info they have is correct, the document says that the company's name is Enclarity and that it represents many pharmacies that sends renewal requests to providers. The web site is www.enclarity.com. I not sure if it's secure so I prefered not to send the fax form filled out.

Enclarity has been spamming our fax number going through all the doctor names with a form requesting we verify the information. Oddly not all the docs are MD's. Even the PhD's are getting this notice.

"Enclarity represents many pharmacies in your area that send renewal requests to providers. In response to the ARRA Act regarding the security of Personal Health Information (PHI), it is vital to verify the correct fax for [doctor's name redacted] to ensure that all PHI communication, including prescription renewal requests, are secure. If your practice has an additional fax number dedicated to prescription renewal requests, please select NO below and provide your additional Dedicated Renewal Fax number. This information is used for clinically relevant communication only and will not be used for marketing purposes. The information represented in this document should be completed and faxed back so that your patients' needs may be met quickly. This information will be verified once each year."

Then they want a signature and fax back to 866-699-0422.
Only contact info on the form is http://www.enclarity.com 612-746-2853.

The company is "Enclarity".  This number is listed as a callback number on some faxes that we keep getting at the office to confirm our practice information and verify our "secure fax number".  As others have noted, the form already has our practice address, phone number, and fax number listed.  The fax states they "work with pharmacies in your area that send renewal requests to providers," so they're framing it as a patient care issue.  The document also states the information will only be used for clinical communication and not marketing.  I'm still hesitant to "verify" anything with them.
