I have found the answer to all these annoying calls, it's called the Call Blocker, and it works great. I was looking for the solution to these phone calls for years, and this is the best solution I have found yet. I bought mine on ebay, and it works like a champ. Omg!!! Calls from this and several other numbers with the same message and issue! If I answer the person on the other line hangs up after a few seconds. If I don't answer they don't leave a message. When I call back it tells me to leave the #s I want removed from their falling list BUT the voicemail is full. This is getting terribly annoying and difficult to deal with since it's more than one #!!!

I have been getting these calls on daily basis. some times it is coming in a diffrent number. they are caliming they are the daily news.
if you call back you will not reach any one. it is just a waste of time.
I search for the daily news number and here is the main number  (212) 210-2100
i called them about the issue and was transfered to a Home delivery agent and was removed from the List.
Hope they do and will update every one if that works.

New Daily News special for 10 weeks, at least no hangs up like other phone but giving a business advertsizement.  But we have a New York Daily News Robot outside the building. for 55,000 resident.

612-808-5540 has been calling my house up to 5x a day when I answer no one responds when I call to ask them to stop all circuits are busy.  I would like to know who's number this is.

I get back to back calls from this number. Any Idea who it is?

Called the number back and it was some magazine subscription company.  They did not give a name on their announcement.

I did not call back but they have called me at the office at least once a day for the past 2 - 3 months.  I answer and the line goes dead, have never called back.

Unwanted calls from this number.  Please take my name from the list and quit calling.

Just called the number back. It gave me an answering machine recording and said they called regarding a free publication We have or are eligible to receive and that I could leave my name and all numbers that I want to take off the call list in a message. I don't really trust that method though.

repeated call and hang ups for the last month

We've received two calls already today so obviously telling them to remove us from their calling list doesn't work. You an get someone on the line if you just sit there in silence for a few seconds. Not sure it will make any difference in what you say though. Good luck.

I just received another call from this number. When I answered the phone I didn't say anything and just waited to see what would happen. After a few seconds a woman came on the line asking to speak to my boss (by name) so I asked who was calling and she said she was from Wards Auto World, that she was trying to update their files in order to send a free magazine. Not sure if that helps anyone but I told her to remove us from their calling list. We'll see what happens!

I've received 2 calls a day the past 2 days around 1pm and 2pm each day, line is dead.  I tried calling it back, but it's just silent, doesn't even ring.  Annoying when I work in an office answering phones and keep getting interupted by a call with nobody on the other end!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! This # has called repeatedly for days and days.  Sometimes 5x a day.  As a business owner I don't have time to deal with this.  BLOCKING IT TODAY!!!!!

We have been receiving almost daily calls, several times a day from this number, but there's never anyone at the other end. I've tried calling this number but it doesn't even ring.

There was actually someone on the other end of the line when they called today----usually there's no one there or the line goes dead. The lady asked to speak to my boss, (who isn't working today), so I told her my boss was here and could I get her name and where she was calling from.....she said her name was Courtney and she was calling from "Ward's Auto". I asked if she could hold, she said yes, I put her on hold and left her there.....she finally hung up after a few minutes. I figure if I do that every time they call, maybe they'll quit calling.

No answer 6 calls inside of an hour! Really ticking me off!

I never answer a number I don't recognize. If they want my attention, they can leave a message. This number never leaves a message. When I call it back, I get a prerecorded telephone service message stating that "the line is busy now; please try your call again later."

The area code is Minneapolis/St. Paul. Some sites have reported that this number is "spoofed," and is possibly being used by telemarketers to cover their tracks. But if that's the case, why is no one on the line even if you do answer these calls?

Easiest solution: block the number.

What Can I do about this.  Dont think I can block this nuber.   But it is getting old.  Just doesnt go away

Calls repeatedly with no one on the other end.  I would block the number if possible.  Callbacks indicate that the number is no longer in use.

3 calls within the last 90 minutes...unable to call them back.

Line is dead when answered.  No message.  Would recommend not answering and blocking if possible.

Two calls from this number in the last week - no one on the other end - it's obviously a telemarketer with an automatic dialer that has been abandoned.

I have gotten called from this number twice in the past few minutes and several the other day. If I don't answer they don't leave a message. If I do answer the line is dead and the call promptly ends. I have tried calling back but the number cannot be reached... annoying.
