The number appeared to be from out of the US. No message was left and I won't call these scammers back.

called once on 11-6-09 & 11-7-09.both times leaving no message on my cell phone,

just got a call from this number.let it go to voicemail.did not leave a message.

called my cell again.  I pressed "1" to speak to someone about credit card debt. I got a gal and asked her what company she was with - she said "Cardmember Services" and I thought she misunderstood, she said it was from PA but my no. is a PA number.  I asked to be on the do not call list.  We gave my sister a cell recently and she signed on with SCAM rip off company "Green Debt Relief" and I wonder if they are related...

This number just called my cell.  They left me a voicemail saying that it was important to call them back to be able to receive a discount on interest rates.

Called my cell phone didn't leave a msg.

Call came on my cell phone. Automated voice said something about if I was interested in lowering my interest rate to 6.9% to press one. I did and hold music went for about a minute and then a guy picked up and asked if I owed more than $4,500 on my credit cards. I asked him what credit card and he said all of them. I asked him which of my card companies he was from and he said none, that credit card companies don't call to people to reduce interest rates. I hung up on him.

I got a call from this number yesterday, as well.  No message was left.

Automated message said the call was from my credit card company offering a lower rate if I pressed "1". When man came on line, he muffled his voice. I asked him twice what company that he was with, and he muffled his voice and hung up on me. Saw this listed on your article "16 Ways you can be Phone Scammed." Thanks!
