Somebody from this number just called and asked for my son by name, and said it was 'Oma' calling.  Now, some in our family have a German background, so on one level it was not too odd.  Problem is that Oma is dead, and has been for twelve years.  So it was a little bit creepy on that level, and also because she knew my son's name.   A prank call?

FYI...This number is not from a solicitor!! You would not be getting a call from them if you did not order their program. Which I did!!  So, either your all full of it OR all these testimonials are BS.

6132377000 calls all the time. Bank of Montreal Survay. Than a week later the Prescott Branch manager called and totaly went bolistic.Easy to block. Both.

I am getting repeat phone calls from this number, no one is there when I answer and if I let the phone ring, there is no message.

A company called University Scholarships Canada is calling me from this number, trying to set up an in person meeting to give me info about a scholarship where they give me $500 dollars in a fund for my baby's university and then $100 dollars every year for the next 15 years. Not sure how legit this is. The website they gave me is www.usc.ca

For the longest time, I was wondering who was calling me from a "613" area code.  As it turns out, it was an old buddy of mine from high school trying to get in touch with me with a surprise phone call.

I've noticed that this number calls me alot and it's always something different. do you know of any way to have the number blocked?

I wonder if there is a way to find the person home phone number, who makes long distance call routed by distributel 613 237 7000.

This number is a Distributel long distance #.  Callers are routed through this number when making long distance calls.  It is not an invalid number but a display number from their long distance provider.  

This number is used by individuals who live outside the local Ottawa area and want to make a discounted long distance call to you.

Due to the fact that this number is provided to anyone in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, unfortunatly finding the phone number of that person would be impossible.

Hopefully, someone will answer (not me!). I'm just curious as to what genre of turd is blinking my phone now. I say "blinking" because the ringers are OFF and shall remain so! It's my answer to the variety of worthless, ineffective and expensive "DO NOT CALL" scam artists who have devised yet another way to sop up tax dollars with no effort and zero responsibility.

I highly recommend my tactic; it's effective, foolproof and free!

In my case it would be my car insurance company. I know even w/o picking it up, my guess is that it would be used by company mostly (credit/insurance)

I get these calls all the time, too. I have a feeling they're no good... up to something... scammers, maybe. They call at strange hours, when they have no business calling anyone. I have a Panasonic cordless phone that allows me to block calls. I'm sure lots of phones have this feature. It's a wonderful thing. The phone rings; on the "display" screen you immediately see CALL BLOCKED. It only rings once.

It's a long-distance calling service based out of Ottawa.

Do any of you have accounts on facebook myspace cregslist or kijiji cause that person can get your info off those sights super easy, randomly I called the number back and all I got was a dial tone???
