They also use 416-254-2398 - same number different area code, with the same prerecorded message.  I have just reported both numbers to the website posted by Lou.  I have reported other telemarketers to this dncl website and maybe it works.  I used to be harrassed every single day at dinnertime by doors & windows telemarketers (who just happened to be working on my street).  The calls have stopped.  I reported the duct cleaning telemarketers last month but I received another call yesterday.  We'll see what happens. I just wrote to the Conservative Party of Canada who called me four times yesterday soliciting donations. If they don't stop, I will report them to the dncl also.

I just received the same call as the previous people.  You know it is a telemarketer because my phone is set for 5 rings and then it is supposed to go into voice mail.  When telemarketers call it just keeps on ringing.  I also called  the number back and was told it was not in service.  The law really needs to crack down on these people.  I for one volunteer to do the cracking (preferrably over their heads)

Thank you Lou for providing the URL to have my numbers added to the Canada Do Not Call List. So annoying. Ugh.

This is weird.  I've applied at a few government jobs in Ottawa in the 613 area code since Monday and I've just received a call from this phone number but no one spoke.  A few temp agency web sites didn't look that professional and I remember one for sure asked if I was currently employed.

Anyone else apply for contract jobs through temp agencies?  I'm thinking that's why I was called.  Funny they didn't say anything.

I just got a call claiming that the government gives a discount for debt over $10,000.

What a scam.

When you try and call the number back it does not exist at all.

I am on the National Do Not Call list yet still these calls get through constantly - what a joke.

I will report this on the https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng  Canada Do Not Call list.

Let's vote for a new government that breaks up the monopoly systematically engineered by the CRTC that is staffed with big telecom former VPs (Rogers, Telus, Bell)!

Guess I'm the first to complain about yet another clown asking me to "press 1" if I'm struggling with debt.  Unfortunately for me I didn't pick up in time before my answering machine answered and I couldn't let them have my usual response of an air horn in the receiver.  As this number is (supposedly) from Kingston, you'd think I wouldn't have to put up with the cold call seeing as how it's supposed to be illegal now.  And no, I'm pretty sure I'm not already a customer and they don't have the right to call me offering a way out of debt.  I guess since Christmas has just passed and many have racked up credit card debt, we'll be getting more of these obnoxious calls.  I'll make sure to stock up on canned air and in case any of these morons are reading...beware calling me as I have no qualms about giving you an earful.
