I got a call at 5:59 this morning. (I was asleep) A man with a middle Eastern accent said hello and started breathing heavy after I said hello. I hung up after a few seconds.
I tried calling back and it says "this number is equipped for outgoing calls only."
Someone reported this is the MRI departmemt. Nobody in our family is waiting for one. Not impressed because of the hour of this call.

I work at an Ottawa spa and he has been doing the same thing! very creepy. He continues to call.....

I also work at a spa and this guy calls once or twice a month from this phone number asking all the same questions!
I hung up on him  toady as it is getting to be very annoying

This phone number is for client use at the Ottawa General Hospital.    It is like a payphone, in that it is not equipped to receive incoming calls, but patients are allowed to make calls from the hospital with it.

You fools, this is The Ottawa Hospital. All the 613-737-86XX are TOH owned. Furthermore, this 737 exchange is at either the General or Riverside Campus.

The number IS General Hospital; my son just called me from there on another O.G. number and said that the missed call from 613-737-8898 was the hospital trying to let me know he was there. As Ace said in an ealier post, they use the outgoing calls line only for a variety of calls.

It's The Ottawa Hospital outgoing telephone line (it can be from any campus: General, Riverside, or Civic). It is not specific to MRI's - it can also be for an Ultrasound, or some other kind of general appointment at The Ottawa Hospital.

They will usually leave you a message. For me, it was simply a reminder of an upcoming appointment.

I work at a spa and some guy calls to ask how much mani/pedi is, how long it takes, what kind of polish we use, if polish would look odd on a man, what colors are in right now, if red is a good color... Has called a few times in the past year asking the same questions and today twice.

They keep calling me at work but they only let the phone ring once... I can't answer. No one I know could be at the hospital right now and it can't be for me since I live on the Quebec side... it's annoying....

I also got a call from that number at 5:22 AM .....!!
I have never been to that hospital as I live on the Quebec side. This really sucks since I have nothing to do with them and still they wake me up at some random hour in the morning and leave no messages... D:

this number called me too. I found out my wife was trying to reach me from the hosp. her grandfather had a major heart attack...now i know why the number was on my phone.

its a FAX machine that phones my place atleast 4 times per day.

yeah you theory of mri its bogus im 23 and my gf is 20 we have no mri or what so ever we are perfectly healthy so why the @#&$% would a mri computer call me for an apointment ???? id still love it if hed call on my phone or when im around to give him a piece of my mind

this is the ottawa general hospital MRI appointment notification that your MRI appointment is ready for you. You have 24 hours notice that you may get another call at which time you are to leave immediately or loose your appointment at which time you are bounced at the back of the line for ANOTHER YEAR unless you die of cancer while you are waiting for the D*** MRI scan.

An yes this is an outgoing number only. You cannon call back for the computer appointments call you.
