I thought I was the only one getting these calls(613-907-2516). They call repeatedly, always the same times. We never pick up cause it's always that number and obviously not important because they never leave a message. It's very annoying. They've been told to stop calling by my father in a very firm voice. I just hoped they listened. You don't want to p*ss off my father, he has a scary temper.

Got a call from this number yesterday; usually they call once every week or so. Left no voicemail message. Sometimes leave a voicemail with usually just dead air.

Telemarketer
it is telemarketer on behalf of MBNA master card (SONY Card), trying to offer super low interest of 0.99% if I transfer the balance from other card... the words are too good to be true, of course there is catch, the low interest is only for short period of time and going up to 24.99%, so don't get involved with this card, (unless you can pay off within 6 month or so) I told them I don't have any debut, then he hanged up.

It's MBNA. They have a great offer for new customers at 0% for a year. They will also wave the one-time fee of 1%.
I've been able to pay down some of my higher interest rate credit cards.
Don't let it go past the introductory rate though or they slam you with 19.99% interest.

As an MBNA customer in good standing, I wish they'd let me be. Have added this to my REJECT list on phone. Tiresome to get unsolicited calls for no discernible reason. HATE it.

I have call blocking on my Panasonic phone. The number is blocked but it will ring once only. They call morning or evening & it is still annoying especially in the evening. I phoned 1-866 - 580 - 3625 & filed a complaint. If anyone wants to register a complaint against this Company, phone the number that I have just listed.

Hi Faraz I know your post is from a while ago but I thought I'd answer anyway with the information I have. This number is calling my home phone/landline and is calling trying to collect money on an old bill that I owe. Calling me in the capacity of a bill collector. Had nothing to do with Telus. However, if you don't owe money to any companies then your cell number might have belonged to someone else before you and they perhaps owe money. The only way to get these types of calls to stop is to answer, tell them they have the wrong number and to remove you or you'll report them since continued calling after your warning becomes criminal harassment in Ontario/Canada.

Debt Collector
This number has called almost every day for the past month, always between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The caller never leaves a voicemail message. I called this number back annonomously using *67 on my landline and an automated system answers the call stating 'you have reached card services...'. This is a collection agency.

Great info Kat. Thanks for posting this warning. I'm not sure when some people are going to understand that you never give your personal information out, especially your bank account number and/or social insurance number, to people who randomly call you or email you. Canadian banks usually have these warnings on their documentation and tell you when you open an account that banks will never phone you and ask you for personal identifiable information or bank account numbers and passwords. If a bank has to speak to you they will have you call your bank branch or go to your bank branch in person.

Okay 'my dude' some of your post doesn't even make sense. FYI nobody is suppose to phone you to solicit your private bank account information, date of birth, or any other personal/identifiable information. All banks where I live in Ontario have specific warnings on its Internet webpage and on bank documentation telling customers that the bank does not and will not phone you or email you to ask for personal information. If the bank needs to actually notify you, you will be called and asked to phone your bank branch. Those are 'bank laws'. The company or person making the phone call has to verify you are a real person by other means before they call your number to solicit you. We have telemarketing laws here in Canada to help prevent recurrence of this type of harassment. People need to start reporting these type of phone calls to the appropriate agency and start telling the person/company to remove your telephone number from their list and not to call you again (if the same person/company continues to call after you told them not to then this becomes criminal harassment), Also report to a local police department the telephone number and types of questions being asked; these are all proven methods of people trying to commit identity theft.

This number calls repeatedly. No message. I don't pick up, they keep calling. Yesterday I received a call from a different number from the same area code 613, and a woman left a weird message, sounding muffled and ending with Christmas greeting. I called back to let her know she left a greeting on a wrong number, ended up having to leave a message. Almost immediately 6139072516 started to call. So I figured someone checked if there is a life person at my number and carried on calling. For a bank this would be a really weird strategy. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

This is totally a scam, I have had calls from this and other numbers claiming to be mbna but when you call mbna's 1800 number they deny contacting you for anything. Don't give information to these people!

This number claims telemarketing from MBNA, and the NEW tactic was that they can increase your credit limit and then ask you for your personal questions, BE AWARE this scam.

The phone rang, I answered it, no reply, I said hello, hello, hello, finally a man(sounded very old, voice was not understandable) answered and mumbled something not understandable, I asked him to repeat and he said the same gibberish over again.  Not knowing what he wanted I said I don't know.  He immediately hung up.  I did hear the letters MBNA.  Was it a scam?

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past year, twice a day somedays.  I was fed up so decided to google the number and am I relief to find that I was not alone and that the caller ID is MNBA.  I shall be calling them to remove me of the auto dial list.  I do have a credit card with them and the service has been great but certainly getting calls at all odd time is not a good service but annoyance especially on the cell phone when one could be in a meeting or asleep at night.  Thank you for sharing your experience.
