I do not live in Canada. I received a call from 450-555-0000 on both my cell and landline one right after the other. The caller ID said it was from Québec, Canada. I don't have any business or contacts in Québec. They did not leave a message.

TDBank is now giving out client information to this company. If you have a TDCanada Trust account you may be getting a call from them trying to sell you an $18/month credit card alert service. Call to cell phone showed as unknown number.

All of you who complain about receiving telemarketing calls from or on behalf of your banks/credit card companies should really consider READING your cardholder agreements. You will find that that the agreement contains a part that allows your financial institution to offer you services that they feel will be beneficial to you. This can be done by phone, e-mail and/or regular mail. It also says they may provide basic details about you (name, phone number, address) to 3rd party companies who may do the marketing on their behalf. If you actually read this agreement it tells you how to be removed from your bank's marketing lists. If you are angry at these types of calls, you should really be angry at yourself for being so ignorant that you didn't even read a legally binding contract that you have engaged in with a major financial corporation. Your marketing calls could have been stopped before you ever even received one (asking to be removed during your activation call). It's like getting angry at the banks for charging you interest (a term in the cardholder agreement), when it's your own fault for not paying off your monthly card balance. The reason you receive calls is because its your own fault you didn't ask to be removed (and you also agreed for them to call you, duhhhhh).

I've had enough!  Where else can I call to have this service stopped!!

The calls come regularly at least three or more times a day. There is never anyone on the other end. This is very annoying.

The number(613) 932-3493 called me last night and when I answered the other end hung up so this afternoon it called again but when I answered this time it was a woman saying she was associated with ROYAL BANK trying to sell me protection for my credit cards and cell phone. She said that for 69.95 a month if any cards were stolen or lost the company would be the one to make a quick call to cancel them and then monitor the card for the next 6 months.... NO THANKS!! Not trusting that one at all!

Called the 800 # (it is Beauty Rock, I think on behalf of RBC), pressed 0, got a person immediately, said I'd like to be placed on their do not call list, gave my number and he said he'd take care of it right away.  Very pleasant, no questions, no intimidation or anything.  Highly recommend doing this.

its a Telemarketing company trying to have you pay for something that doesnt exist. im sure they will hit you with a cacellation fee to remove your number too

YES, it is an auto-dialer system that is malfunctioning. Just got the explanation from a lady at the 1-800 number listed above. Apparently, I'm now on their do-not-call list.

I was not present when this number called my home number at 12:11 p.m. today (Jan. 12, 09).  I don't know who this is.  I am registered in the "Do not call registry".

I've been getting strange calls, mostly from the US, and I just got this one today. I missed it, but checked my caller ID and saw this number and Googled it. I called the 1-800 number from above and talked to a nice woman who took my number off the list, no questions asked. So I would suggest that as well.

613-932-3493 calls me everyday--- I pick up and they hang up--- I call back and no one ansers--- so today i called number back @ 4:00 am--- a woman answered-- sounded like I woke her up... so I hung up and called back over and over and over again until she started yelling at me--- last thing I said: Now you know how it feels.

BTW: 613-932-3493 is A.J. McCabe in Cornwall, Ontario...

I actually tried after about 2 weeks of seeing this number on call display...no such luck of gettin ahold of anyone  yet.  If i do I am gonna find out WHICH TELEMARKETING company this is.  Then I dunno.

I have been getting missed call from this number and I am very annoyed. Please stop this at the earliest.

I have been receiving too many calls from this stupid number, first and second call I answered but nobody said anything from the other side. EVERY single day I receive 2 or 3 phone calls from this number I am sick and tire of this, I already called back but anybody picks the phone. Anybody knows where this come from? I already went to yellow pages and 411 but nothing comes out.

I'm at home sick and this number keeps calling here.  I  would love to get the home number to whoever has set this up and make sure I disrupted their day too.  How inconsiderate

613-932-3493 calls my house everyday, starting at 8:45am pst and calls 4 to 5 times ending at 9:30pm pst. they never leave a message. These people need a life, I have reported this number on "do not call list" and still they keep calling. How many calls a day do i need to receive before this is considered harassment.  What ever happened to homeowners rights, I do not have a home phone so people can harass me.....

this number calls me about 4 times a day and if I answer they just hang up. But I did call the number back and a voicemail cut in saying they were Beauty Rock and they call on behalf of various companies for promotions, they said you can leave a message indicating your number and ask to be taking off their calling list; so I did...lets hope it works..fingers crossed

Been getting calls from this # a few times a day for the last couple weeks. I never answer it, usually b/c I'm at work & dont take cell calls while I'm working & they never leave a message. Going to put my name on the do not call list & hopefully it will stop. Reading everyone's posts must be the RBC Visa b/c I dont have any young children.

I get each day at least one or more calls from this calling center. I called them and asked them to remove my number from their calling list.
First of all they asked about my area code and then my phone number.
The worst of all is when calling 1-800-668-0077 and you ask how they got your number they provide no answer but also if you ask your number to be removed immediately they say that it will be removed in 30 days.
This sounds like the terms of a commercial contract (I never signed anything with this company and never hear of them)... 30 days for what?
What about right now?
What about getting the common sense and stop calling randomly people who never consented with this.
If somebody thought he could sell something this way ... I can tell him he got it all wrong from the very beginning, all they get is my repulsion / rejection.

P.S. I would not give them the number anyway (I called 1-800-668-0077 with hidden caller ID) because they can open a new calling center in 30 days and since the not calling agreement was on the first name (ex. Beauty Rock) they are free to call again as (ex. Columbia House) and hares you more.

Instead giving them the number to them make sure your number is on the DO NOT CALL Government list (it takes 30 days to get updated but it applies for all the telemarketing companies)
If they still call … they break the law

We've often received phone calls from 613-932-3493.  We just used the 1-800-668-0077 number and found the folks to be quite friendly when we asked them to take our number from their caller listing...  So - we're crossing our fingers that it works... :-))

I've been getting calls from 16139323493 for the past three weeks about three calls a day, all at different times. I called the 1800 number on this site and they took me off the list. Where did they get my number from? Annoying as parking tickets, thanks for the advice!

I recieved this call today.  When I answered it took a minute or two for the person on the other end to respond.  He said he was with Royal Bank of Canada Visa card services.  It's weird that others have had this number and it wasn't "Royal Bank."

I received a call from this phone number today, and I must say... I appreciated the call. It gave me a nice chance to discuss current events with someone. Don't ignore these calls! They are nice people to speak to!

Gosh, this phone number calling me two times a day...it drives me crazy. How can I get these scamps to jail?
