As another person said, I also filled out an online form for an auto insurance quote. The next morning, the phone started ringing every twenty minutes from this number. It's an unknown auto insurance company trying to give you a quote. The calls start out as a robo call. When you answer wait about ten seconds before a real human gets on the line. If you don't, your phone will ring every twenty minutes. Once I talked to the human, I told them never to call back due to bad business practices. They haven't called back since.

Well, I decided to call them.  It's a company called Consumer United.  They were calling me to offer auto insurance quotes from multiple providers; she mentioned getting up to 8 quotes.  These calls from them seem to have started after I visited a website where I entered some info to get some auto insurance quotes.

Since I had received two quotes already via email before I talked to the caller, I told her I was not interested in further quotes at this time.  She politely accepted my view and said I could call them back anytime if I decided to pursue more insurance quotes.

They've called about 6 times already today before noon.  No message left.  I thought it might be a political call with the election approaching but them leaving no message doesn't quite make sense in that case.

The number 6144945212  has called me more times than I can count. However, they never leave a message.
