Got the same mailed letter from this chick out of the blue. No idea how she got my number. Random. Maybe from my college?
| Kelli 2014-03-25 21:21:45 Unknown |
I got the exact same letter today! It seemed so fishy that I had to check it out! It really bothers me where she got my name and address!!

Received a HAND written message from Stacy Sitzema. Says she's a Vice President with Priamerica and she has an office in Grand Rapids, MI. They are EXPANDING and OPENING Additional Offices locally. Blah Blah Blah... same as everyone else's.... keeping options opened... Call her DIRECT... 616-836-6993 to discuss details and determine if there might be a Stronger mutual fit of interest. ALSO... P.S. We have Part-time and Full-time availability.
I am a Stay At Home Mom for 8 Years. I haven't applied for a Job in 8 years. SUDDENLY, I'm getting a letter for a job....
Can ya say RED FLAGS....(millions of flags waving at me).
ODD.... that it's Hand Written. some of the ink wore off on other parts of the paper. Why take the time to hand write a letter? Obviously, MANY letters to Random people.
I plan to call. I plan to *67 them and see what I get.

Sounds like they are still making the calls. I had a voice message saying that Stacy got my name as a referral and thought my credentials looked like a good match with them and that I would be a good candidate for their new positions in West Michigan. Part time or Full time available and wanted me to call back. This was Stacy's cell number 616 836 6993 I called and got her voice mail.

Ditto, looked it up: "The Primerica business opportunity involves the sale of term life insurance and other financial services products such as mutual funds, variable annuities and debt consolidation loans. Primerica representatives are independent contractors, not employees of Primerica or any of its affiliates."

Got the call today from 616-836-6993 and spoke to Stacy. She gave me some vague story about my name having been referred to her and wondered if I was open to opportunities to make money. I specifically told her I was not interested in sales -- she told me it was a H.R. position. The whole thing felt "off" -- she talked too fast and when I asked questions she interrupted me and didn't really answer them. She asked me to meet with her on Thursday night. I asked if it was a group interview because something in her speech gave me the impression that there would be more people there. She got all flustered and said she would speak to me individually but there might be more people there at that time. She told me to dress casual and bring a notebook. I've never been told how to dress for an interview before. There was something so odd about the whole thing I googled the number and got the info on Primerica's recruiting practices. It was very dishonest of her to call it an H.R. position and I'm upset that she would call my house just to mislead me. I feel like I was preyed upon simply because I've been looking for employment. She made no mention of the fees I would be charged if I was interested in this "opportunity." I wish I knew where she got my name. BEWARE.

Got a call from Mark Sitzema asking to call his business partner Stacy at 616-836-6993 for more details about a business opportunity in the Grand Rapids area. His company is expanding he said and he was given my husband's name as somebody who might be interested in a new career path. Googled the phone number and it led me here. Do they not check the Do Not Call Registry? Our number is on it. As I understand it, it is a felony for them to call a number listed on the registry.

Got the same message as others did from above. Not sure where she got my number, maybe my college roster...who knows. Stacy, the proclaimed caller, would have established crediblity only if she said where she got my name. Because she did not do this, it was easy to see that she was hunting blindly for heads.

I actually just met this lady doing some recruiting at Meijer in Jenison and looked up her credentials when I got home. It says she owns a private insurance company, Primerica, in Wyoming, MI. The number she gave me was the same as the number above and same story. Hiring 15 new permanent employees within the next 3 weeks.

RE: 616-836-6993
The caller's identity is Stacy Sitzema, a Primerica representative.
| Beth 2011-06-06 20:52:53 Unknown |
Stacy's invitation to join her company is DEFINITELY not a scam. The company she represents is Primerica, and it is a nationwide company that, unlike its competitors, has NEVER appealed for a loan from a financial institution to stay afloat during this most recent bad economy. Initially, Primerica was under CitiBank, but is now independent. It's a very reputable company that has unbeatable offers to the general public, and whoever reads this will hopefully investigate what this company is all about. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I received a call from this gal today (8/16/10). I came across this post after Google searching this number (her cell phone) because I was unable to connect. I know all about Primerica. This company attempts to recruit people to sell life insurance as part of a financial services package (investments, retirement, etc.).
In 2005, I met with a gal named Angelica Lopez, a Primerica representative. She found my resume at Careerbuilder We met twice at the Elias Bros. Big Boy restaurant in Okemos, a suburb of Lansing. I then wasted 3/4 of a Saturday by driving over to Farmington Hills where an information seminar was held. To me, it had a cult-like feel to it. I made the decision not to become a Primerica rep after consulting with my parents. They said that it sounded like a pyramid scheme.

I got a call from Mark Sitzema on thursday June 2 2011 asking me that if "I was still keeping my career options open" I should call Stacy @ 836 - 6993 also ... I tried every west Michigan area code to try to connect to that number and not one connected ... If I just dial "836" I get an error message immediately ...
This is very similar to an email that I and an acquaintance got 2 years ago from another insurance
company asking the same thing, wanting us to attend a "seminar"/ interview, to sell insurance stuff.
I figure that because Michigan has the employment/ employer characteristics that it has, we have to
"keep one eye open" when a supposed employment opportunity arises.
