REPEATED hang-ups to my private landline number.

This has been going on for about four weeks straight, with sometimes SEVERAL calls per day.


So we complain and we complain and we complain -- all of us -- but what can actually be done to STOP this invasion of our private lives?!

No one ever left a message. Identified only as Unknown caller.

Caller does not talk when i answer the phone (0n 2 different occasions).

received call at 8:52 pm on March 3, 2014, I let answering machine get it and they left no message.

Not Sure Whom this is but they seemed very annoyed that I was not whom they were looking for...

Everyone do what I do. When they ask for me I just tell them "just a moment" then lay the phone down. After a while, they hang up. They get payed by the call so imagine how ticked off that makes them and imagine what it would be like if we all do it. Just sayin....

This is Telefund - They are an aggressive charity fund and organizational fund company that seeks money for their respective companies.

To name a few:
HRC.org (Human Rights Campaign)
FRC.org (Family Research Council)

If you're part of an action group or charity, this is why you're name is on their list. You may also be getting a call if you've ever submitted information online supporting a cause!

This number calls 2x every night. No one on the other line.

Got a call @ 10:46 a.m. PST, 12/5/2012.  My caller ID showed it as BOSTON, MA
When I answered they did not pick up. I called back and I got a recorded message identifying the organization as Telefund and saying they had called on behalf of a charitable organization they did not name. The recorded message said that if I left my # they would remove me from their call list which I did.

I have frequently received others calls from Telefund where that organization name showed in my caller ID.
I think they have called on behalf of the Human Rights Campaign and Amnesty International.

I am on the Do Not Call List, yet someone keeps calling my number from 617-292-7701, and I am getting VERY, VERY, VERY ANNOYED.

Missed a call from this number. They didn't leave a message. When I called back, it immediately went to voicemail and said the mailbox was full.

Multiple calls per day on my cell and there's no one there when I pick up.

This number calls me often, doesn't answer and I can't leave a message or get anyone when I call back.

I too pickup... as i'm usually very polite... yet there is no one on the line.  I'll stop answering the phone. Or perhaps I'll try and start a conversation with them.

The person using this number has called me four times this month.  He/she never says anything - there is silence when I pick up the phone and today s/he left a voicemail with silence.

They call me every single day. Very aggravating.

I have been receiving phone calls from an 888 number that shows up on caller ID as "Telefund". I have also been receiving calls from this 617-292-7701 number which I understand also is affiliated with Telefund. On 12/20 there was a call and a message with a hangup from the 617-292-7701 number. On 12/21 there was a call and short message with a male voice saying "I knew you" then hangup. I saved this call and will report it to the telephone company. Also later on 12/21 I received a call at dinnertime from "Telefund" showing an 888 number. I am on the national Do Not Call list. These calls with hangups and cryptic, vaguely threatening messages are harassment. These people should be fined.

Same as everyone else; they never leave a voicemail but today the caller did not hang up before my voicemail picked up and I overheard explaining to another calling that she was from a charity organization.

Keep getting calls from this # but they do not leave a message.  I'm betting a solicitor.

got a strange call from this number

I get called about once a day from them.  Left my number and a message to add it to their do-not-call list.  We'll see if that helps.  I wish I could block them!

To be honest, I don't care who they represent.  A couple of weeks ago my husband picked up the phone when they called and told them in no uncertain terms that we do not wish to be contacted by them and to take us off their list.  The only thing that has changed is that they don't call as often.  I don't answer their call; but it is annoying to be constantly bothered, especially at dinner time.  My caller ID indicates that the call is coming from Telefund.

They have been calling non-stop for months now.  The other night my husband answered and told them not to call or he would report them.  10 minutes later, they called again!  They never leave a message but often call three of four time in a row.  Very annoying!!!!!

HaHA  I just called them and left a message asking for a donation to the Sarah Palin Fund   LOL LOL!!!!

They are calling my house today!!

Had 5 calls from them just this week.  Sometimes no one is there, 3 times a person comes on saying they're with "financial credit", did I get their letter on lowering my credit card interest rate.  Of course there was never any letter, they never ask for my name or address me by it or even what card they're with.    one time i let them get into their talking points, "i could lower my rates on my credit card; if i was current on my payments at present".  They needed some info, at that point i told them i wasn't current and had no idea how many cards or how much i owed and i hung up.  Told them again this morning, not interested in their fake credit scheme and not to call AGAIN!

These folks are so annoying, they keep hanging up and are calling at odd hours of evening. Already on DNC list, and have filed multiple complaints with Do Not Call Complaint web site.
