I have been receiving a number of calls from this number on my caller id. Not sure who is calling though.

That number belongs to an Obama/Biden campaign volunteer group.

This is "The share group", a telemarketing company.
I was out of town last week and when I returned I had received 47 calls from this company. They called about every 3 to 4 hours on weekdays.
Their primary line numbers are:
Newton, MA: 617.629.4500
Washington, DC: 202.223.3444
Phoenix, AZ: 602.680.1836
As they keep on relentlessly calling us, we should all get together and call their main phone numbers as much and as often as possible. If enough people get together and flood these primary line numbers with calls they will not be able to make outgoing calls. Perhaps they will get the message to STOP CALLING US.

I have had a couple of calls both registered on the voice mail but no real message, just music. I don't believe that it is Obama Biden. I have done work for the campaign and they are very explicit about phone etiquette and identification.

Call them back. You will hear a short recorded message telling you to press "2" to have your name taken off the list. Easy and no human interaction.

What Alex said. I just called back to the 617 number and you hear an option to get your number removed from their lists. I spoke with someone at the 202 number and they said it is a call center operation and they call based on past contributions to causes, etc. They were very polite and apologized about multiple calls.

Just anwser and tell them to put you on the do not call list. That's what i do with all these people that call. It almost always works. Charities and campaigns are allowed to call you even if you are on the do not call list, but you can opt out.
