getting calls, no messages left unknown #, calling several times a day and days

My phone rang for a short time, and then they apparently hung up.  Don't answer!

Appears to be a scam based on reports to other websites.  They have called me three times and left no message...about the same time each day for three days.   I can't think of anyone I know in Alton, IL
