"Jessica" from David Dufek Law office asked for me... because a Mr. "J.H." said that if they couldn't get hold of J.H., that they should call me.  What's weird is J.H. is my cousin's ex-husband.  

I don't want, nor need, any unwelcome phone calls.

Called left no message, thoufht it was a relatives number, called got some legal mumbo jumbo on a recording, smelled like a scam

Wow. Crazy. This jerk has left multiple messages to call him. I do owe debt so that's what I'm assuming it is. Tell me why, they called my parents AND my brother lookin for me! That's crazy AND pathetic. Anyway my brother told me the same thin happened to him a few yrs ago and apparently credit car companies/collection agencies will sell your debt to these scumbags aka lawyers/law offices to get a little profit and the lawyer will buy it from them bc ppl get scared when they he's lawyer/law office and pay them! Not me. Though he said call and ask if it's an attempt to collect debt, if so hang up. Cause you never know, someone could have left you money in their will haha. This did actually happen to my husband when he was in early 20's. So I'll call just to make sure! DO NOT PAY THEM MONEY! There is nothing they can do but scare you with "Lawyer etc"!!

Received a call looking for a family member,  It's a scam, Man identified himself as a attorney. He has called numberous times

They are just idiots who sold their soul to get a job in California.
Guess they are not smart enough to be good at electronics, acting, or computer software.
Anyway, if they call you just remember that they probably belong in that job and deserve all the disrespect they get.

I have also received calls and messages from this number. They claim that they are trying to collect a debt that I owe another company. Now yes i do owe a company money, however, i did not/do not feel right about this company. So i called that company that i owe and asked if they still own my collection or if they sold it to another company. They still own my so i know that these people are a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont let them frighten you, if you are unsure because you do owe someone money, call them directly!

Harrassing call from that entity inquiring about someone's spouse with a SSN off by 1(one) digit from mine. Is it a case of identity theft ? Already have a Fraud Alert in place, to no avail.
The issue was resolved in 1994 (TRW) & 2000 (TransUnion), or so I thought, when I received a call TODAY !
So 8 years later, here we go again! I have to shell out moneys to receive my credit reports, since I last ordered them in October '07, to find out which Bureau has incorparated the error.

Re'cd a call from 619-299-1709 stating he was from the law office of David Dufek.Wanted me to contact Jason at ext 371.When I asked what it was in reference to, he stated I owed a debt but would not say what kind.When I asked him to send me a statement of that debt, he hung up.I called the number back but someone else on the line stated they did not have anyone by the name Jason working there.SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

they called our home asking for my nephew because we are the only relative with a "listed" phone number!  They tossed around all our family's names that is info you get from the internet.  My nephew has no legal problem or debt.  It is a scam / hoax to try to convince people to send them money.  Just play their game and give them a big line of crap!

Lately, I received a call from Don Popral with attorney David Dufek's 619-299-1709 ext. 351, they keep calling and told my parents about my identity, home address and my personal informations...etc, they also said that I ignored all of the letter or call from them. However, i've never seen anything from this office before so I don't know what is the purpose of them, should I return their call of just ignore them?

I received a phone call this morning asking for my fiance, I told her he was not here at the moment could I take a message she told me her name was suzan with the law office of david and beck and left a number 619-299-1709 ext. 351 when I asked her what it was about she said it was a civil suit. the funny thing is my fiance is not any kind of trouble. What a scam!

wow from reading all the posted comments about this number i just recently had a call from them this morning && i was still knocked out (haha) so eventually i didn't answer.........my family is not in debt too or anything && i've never heard of or ever had to see an attorney so i think the same as everyone else....

Keep calling aasking for another person, not at this number nor do I know the party, I keep asking them not to call, sometimes I get a hang-up in the middle of my conversation, they also said they would remove my number, it's going on 6 months and still calling, I reported them to the BBB next step is to the Attorney General.

I recieved a call from this number (619)299-1709 saying that it was from an attorney.  I couldn't hear the name because the caller was talking low and not very clearly

This is a number to Advantage Business Systems, Inc., San Diego, CA.  Google the phone number and click on the web site www.alacra.com/company.  This will tell you this is an "Ajustment/Collection" agency. Don't respond to their messages.  The "SSN one digit off" is an attempt to make contact with you specifically.  Once they talk to you they have got you, no matter if it you or not they want to talk to.

It's a scam, I have no debt problems & no balances dues. My credit report also doesn't show any identity theft stuff.

Got a message to call Seth Nelson about something "I would remember" and it's his "understanding" that I will, also mentioned a payment due. Called asking for me by my nickname and maiden name, I haven't gone by my maiden name in 9 years, and I have never signed any legal documents using my nickname.
Calling the number produced a voicemail asking me to leave my name and number, which I did not.
Apparrently Seth Nelson is, according to the voicemail service, assistant to Attorny David Shandusec (sp)
I am scared, as after calling me by my nickname in the message, he corrected himself and said, yes, then my full legal name.
How did he know my nickname?
And why is someone calling reffering to my maiden name?!
THe last debt I had under that name I paid off in 2001!

Called looking for my ex. a search for this number points to "Davis Law Associates" (also Advantage Business Services, Inc.) as the owner.
