we received a similar call from a woman with an accent, also offering a free gift, no strings attached.  She had our address and asked for no additional information.  Odd.

Woman called three times within one week (May 31 to June 4 2013) asking if my household was Jewish. When asked why she wanted to know, she stated she worked for 'Layne Dallas' @ 1 619 324 7723. She said Layne Dallas wanted to send a gift to Jewish homes. I refused to give any information. I am assuming this is a form of antisemitism, a list was being collect of Jewish families.

When I returned a call to this number, a message said 'the number was no longer in service.' I have blocked this number.

A women with kind odd voice to ask if Mr. xxx at home, I told her to leave message, she said it is okay. Very strange unusually human voice, sound like she was from mars.

Same thing happened to me. I'm suspicious, too. Declined the gift, wish the caller would cease and desist altogether.
