The message sounds pre-recorded. The woman's voice sounds Jamaican. She said that I'd be arrested either at my home or place of work. Either I call the number, or she will see me in court.

I received the call over an hour ago. No law enforcement agency has come to my home to arrest me. She lied to me!

I've heard of Jamaican scammers calling and leaving voicemail messages for the intended victims. Once they call the number back, victims' telephone numbers can somehow be used to make expensive long-distance calls. Victims are then stuck paying for these calls. Could this be a similar scam?

This number called my cell and a man with an Indian accent said that I was being arrested at my home or my job. He did not give a name but left this number. I have looked for similar situations on Google and they are trying to get socials and or money. I am going to research further how to report them. I do have some unpaid debts but I have never had any legal trouble ever. It really scared me for about ten minutes. Now I'm just angry!!!
