Two missed calls from this number today, I do not have a WAMU credit card. They did not leave a message so be it.

OMG yes this is WAMU and yes, the heavily accented voices of the middle-eastern call center employees are way hard to understand. On top of that, no amount of information that you give these people will make them stop calling. Supposedly they "update their records" but an hour later I'm getting calls again. After 8 days of 12 to 20 calls per day, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, we've taken to putting our toddler on the phone with them. Yesterday they got an earful of the stove vent fan. Last night they enjoyed some bluegrass on itunes. It's just gotten ridiculous, so I've passed the point of being polite.

Apparently since I have an account with them, they don't have to adhere to the do not call list.

Why are companies continously outsourcing? We need the jobs here for AMERICANS! And they wonder why our economy is so screwed up and why Americans need more cash assistance! Now I am getting calls from WAMU 619-471-0037 and I cannot understand the person that is speaking to me! I have NEVER had an account with them and they don't care, they keep calling and probably because they do not understand what the hell we are saying. Very smart thinking WAMU! Hiring and PAYING people that do not speak or understand the English language will surely help build your company and get debts paid! BRILLIANT!!! What is this world coming to? What other country do we know of that welcomes Americans to live off of them? I pray the next President will help pass the law that if you have a business in America, you must hire people that live in AMERICA and contribute to our country! Amen!

Yet another part of WaMu's hellish harassment tactics.  Every day, they call several times from the same number, then the next day, repeat the cycle with a number from a completely different area code in a completely different part of the country.  After about two weeks, you'll be able to round up most of the numbers because they just don't quit.  I save them into my cell phone contacts and attach a special ringtone of silence to the contact profiles.  I get about 20 calls like this a day now, and whenever a new number pops up, I enter it on this site so other people will be warned of WaMu's collection strategy.  I don't care if I win the Lottery tomorrow, this bank can wait until hell freezes over at the back of the line with the rest of the creditors who think I'm going to tolerate this treatment!!

this is a call center WAMU or Providian. So if you have an account with either of these companies, you will receive phone calls from them. They harrass you despite the fact that their records are erroneous. I just programmed all of their numbers under one title, and assigned a silent ring tone. Problem eliminated!!!!!

These people do not give up. It is WAMU. We even told them that they had the wrong number and they still keep calling. Despite the fact that we are making payments, they are still continuing to harass up non stop. 20 calls a day, Give me a break. If someone has answered the previous 19 times,what makes you think that they are going to the 20th time you call. They call from like 12 different numbers but you always know that it is them. These people are idiots.

I received call this morning 8AM Lead in was a recorded "a call is coming through for you"  Then man with Indian accent asked for my husband. I said  not here, he then asked for the spouse, I said again not here. Asked if I could take a message, he hung up. I'm looking at ALL the responses from this site and it occurs to me that eveymone is ID ing Wash Mutual. This bank has been sold to Chase! Did someone get the sensitive info from the WAMU data? Sounds like it to me!!! Maybe Chase should be looking into this.

Someone just called with this number 6194710037 and shortly after another call but this time my caller ID shown as Unknown.
What is this?  Who is it!

I'm current with my payments, so it's NOT due to late payments with WaMu.

They call me 8 - 10 times a day but I don't recognise them so I don't answer. They never leave a message so I can't call anyone in particular but when I try to call them back the number is always busy.

I have called WA MU at 800-788-7000. I stated I have never had a credit, savings card with them but they continually call my cell phone with an automated recording.  I ask to speak with someone to have my number removed off the automated calling list.  The woman stated she could not do anything to help me, but in the same breath requested I give her my SOCIAL SECURITY #!  I told her WHY WOULD I GIVE YOU MY SS # WHEN I HAVE NO ACCOUNT WITH YOUR COMPANY I strickly just desire to have my phone number removed off the calling list!  She then stated she could not help me, I would have to wait until card services returned on Monday.  She sounded like she had not a clue of what to do but to try and get me to give her my SS #!

Washington Mutual Card Services I believe

WAMU pays overseas workers to make collection calls....I can barely understand them.  I ask to speak to a supervisor and/or manager and they tell me they are busy.  I don't advise anyone to speak to any of them until they can get a manager on the phone.  You try to tell them you will make a payment as soon as possible, but that still isn't good enough.  Maybe if they were here in the US to see how bad the economy is, then they would understand!

Same with me, they start calling at 8am. One time I answered it, the guy told me that my account was late and that I had to Pay over the Phone. I already scheduled an online payment which I know I wouldn't be late. And the guy was insisting, so that my account would be "Up-to-date". I told him I'd be happy to pay it in one of the bank branches, and then he hung up. I went to one of the local branches and asked if my account was current and the teller said yes, that I've scheduled a payment online. I told her about the caller and said, that they don't ask for your payment over the phone. Clearly, those guys just wanna get your cc info or ss#. Don't fall for this. Don't give out your personal information, ss#, pay whatever you owe at the bank or at their website, call the actual customer service # or mail your payment.

these mother f***ers wont stop.  I live in PERU, south america, and they keep calling my mobile here...  Sais SAN DIEGO on caller ID, I called back and got a recording to give Credit card number, i dodnt... it asked 8 times for it.  finally it asked for social #. asked me 4 times.... finally some lady answered, hi, this is Jill, how can i help you.  After i got done freaking out on this girl, she wanted my name......  Told her she didnt need it, and gave my phone number....  to make a long story short, she aid she needs my name to take me off their calling list,  I lied and told her my name is Smith Hanz.....

he just closed a wamu account.. didnt owe anyhting.. and theyre calling over and over making him irate and asking ofr PERSONAL information.

I am late with my Providian payment, because I was busy and I simply forgot to make the payment online. They have already gotten their freaking $39.00 late charge, so they can kiss my a**. I will pay it when I feel like it.
Today I did receive a RESTRICTED or UNAVAILABLE call on my cell phone. I answered it, because many of my calls are business related and do show up that way. It was WAMU, a foreign accent and they were asking for a payment over the phone. Not only did they want the currently past due payment, they wanted next months payment as well. I told them that I would make the payment online when the funds were available. I then had another incoming call and hung up on them. Then just a few minutes ago, I received a call from 619-471-0037. It is after my business hours, so I let it go. I decided to look it up and this is what I found. I am glad I did not give out any information.
WAMU and Providian both suck. I can't wait to pay off my balance with these boneheads.

yea they called they said nothin for like 15 min then i hung up then i called them its asking my credit card and my other number im not giveing it im talking to a real person now

This is a call from WAMU Dredit Card services they are calling me because I am 2 days past due on my credit card payment Oh well maybe I will pay it maybe I won't Mortgage First, and maybe I would talk with them if the spoke understandable English My Goodness Hello We live in the United States WAMU Maybe you should employ more people in this country and you would be able to get your payments that people owe to you with the state of the economy you think that they would catch on. Oh well

All of you are idiots. Seriously. Maybe I'll pay it. Maybe I won't? You are not in grade school any more. Grow up and be an adult with integrity. For those of you who say you do not have an account with who ever but keep getting phone calls...Pick up the damn phone and ask them who they are calling for. Chances are some schmo who said "Maybe I'll pay it..." gave them your number or if you just got the number, it's because it used to be his number and he never bothered letting his debtors know. Also, understand the laws in your state when it comes to hours of calling for collection purposes. It is public information. Motivate yourself to use your resouces. Finally for this jack*** in Peru. You want your name off of a calling list but refuse to give them your real name??? Hey stupid, they are not the government. They are a financial institution with the same caller ID capabilities as you. They don't know your name! Nor do they know when you are going to dinner. If you people would only shut the hell up and read your contracts and understand your laws, rights, and obligations this nation and this damn planet wouldn't be so screwed up.

Yes wamu calls daily all day long. Allows voice mail to be activated but never leaves a message.All they are doing in trying to aggrievate me by burning my minutes.

I get between 20 and 35 calls A DAY from these people.
Try to collect blood from a stone is what I tell them, and they said, cant you get a loan from someone.  They pissed me off beyond belief and I said nope, I killed everyone that could have helped, so give me a job at your company and I will think about putting you on my list of people to pay.
They still keep calling, and I keep hanging up on them.

I am beginning to think that the Do Not Call Registry is a scam too.  I am on it, and still get the BS calls.

Gotta Love WAMU... I have two accounts with them & in good standing and I keep getting calls to pay my bill.  And the calls only come in on my cell phone, not the home number which is the number listed.  Wonder what happens this week after the Chase/JPMorgan conversion.

Wow, they are getting aggressive with the economic downturn.  

WAMU collections- I was 2 days late and didn't realize I was late (yes, only TWO DAYS LATE).  This is one of about a dozen numbers they use that seem to be from a normal area code.  They called 4 or 5 times in 2 hours so I picked up despite being in the middle of teaching a lesson (I'm a teacher and don't pick up at work but I didn't realize anything was late, it wasn't an 800 type number, I have friends in many states, so even though I didn't recognize the area code I was afraid it might be an emergency).  Once they had me on the line they didn't want to let me go- I tell them I'm a teacher, I'm working, and I'm not discussing anything with them in front of my students, and they try to get a commitment to give payment info then and there (mind you, after being the victim of identity theft I won't give that kind of info to anyone on the phone, in front of the class or not).  Being a teacher in front of a class wasn't good enough and they even got somewhat threatening- if I don't pay now further action may result and it will harm my credit (sorry, I'm an ex-banker, I know you can't do anything to me for 2 days late).

I go home and pay online and they call 5-8 times a day for the next several days until that payment posted.  Mind you, this level of harassment was for 2 DAYS late.  I will be canceling my WAMU account and my Chase account (Chase now owns Washington Mutual) due to this harassment.

Well, I'm about to start shopping for a mortgage, I bet you can guess what companies are not going to get my business (Chase and WAMU)
