they are selling promotional items to businesses. when I told him i was not interested, he gave me some story about how he was getting a root canal tomorrow and needed to sell a bunch of pens because he'll be off a day of work. I hung up because my bags were not packed to go on his guilt trip!!

No one on the other end.  Called it back and got an answering machine that just said "Please Leave a Message".  I left them a message asking to put me on their do not call list.

Answered the phone no one there.

They hung up when i got the phone I called back and no answer
