Called me and stated they received my number from an app I downloaded for my phone...lol. I don't have internet on my phone and I have an older phone that doesn't have apps. The lady said was saying something about 100 to 50 dollar gift cards from "big companies" when I hung up.

They call and don't leave a message and I'm pretty sure its the fake payday loan scam that called me in July and sometimes they use 804 numbers. Whatever you don't do pick up, don't pay them, you may have had a loan ten years ago and they found your info online and they're trying to intimidate you but don't believe a word of what they're saying. They should be ashamed of themselves except they're amoral, so they don't have a problem with lying, stealing, and intimidating their fellow human beings and they don't know what shame means. They're basically part-human because all the humans I know that are decent have a sense of right and wrong but these people do not.

got a call from these people. they did not leave a voicemail.. i called the number back to see who it is... It is a career builder company which scrapes your information from other sites like monster.com etc... they have an option #3 to place your number on their do not call list so i did that... i guess this is a good reminder to be careful of where you put your info on the internet... if a site such as monster.com or elsewhere is going to allow scraping to occur or sell your info??  might be best to NOT use those companies either :)   good luck!!
