Got similar on 6/2/2013 from 510-508- 9820.  This was the message:

Hey www.picsharefiles.com talk to me on there?  It's Sarah by the way.

My name is Mary and I live in the San Diego area so, I have a 619 area code Iphone. I got this same text today from a 619 cell phone. I was confused when I first got it because, the text said, "Talk to me here. picsharefile.com. It's Mary btw." Ummm... I'm Mary... but, I knew it had to be a spammer or virus. It had a website to link to. It hit up my brother's cell phone first. Got his contacts and then, hit up my cell phone. Now, I get the pleasure of sending texts to all my friends this afternoon so, that they don't assume it's me. Ugh.

Got the same text at 4:17a.  I live in San Diego, I do know a Mary but she moved to the Bay Area (but she could still have a 619 number), but no one I know texts me at 4am sending me a URL, so this totally smelled like a phishing attack.  Decided to Google it and found your notes.  Will be deleting that text message.

my guess is that a bunch of android phones in san diego got infected with viruses and are now randomly sending out this spam texts to any number that the virus randomly comes up with. dump your android phones because they will get infected with viruses just like your windows computers.

these picsharefile.com mary txt messages are apparently coming from many numbers: 619-578-4190, 619-578-3934, 619-578-1640, 619-606-0946, 619-307-9664, and now 619-578-4885, and probably a bunch of other numbers. so the spammer could be using several phone numbers to spam from. the numbers look like cell numbers in the san diego county area. the spammer probably bought a bunch of prepaid tracfones to spam from or the spammer is using one of those txt apps that give away free phone numbers.

I got a text from this number at 1:50am asking me to go to chat at a given website. said "it's mary btw" First of all, I don't know any Mary's and second, nobody I know would text me at that time or try to send me to some phoney website. It woke me up and then I was up thinking how did this person get my number?

I Received a text from this number asking me to go to a website which I didn't go to.  She said we name was Mary.
