when was action last taken on telemarketer calls? all the do not call list does is provide telemarketer people with phone numbers.

Live caller from this number today, saying he was a general contractor. When I said the number was on the do-not-call list, he said it was not. (It is!) Then he said I could continue to believe the fantasy that it was on the list, and he would call when he wanted! Probably a bad contractor - or maybe a scammer!

Have been calling daily trying to pitch storm windows.  Today he said it's not a sales call, they just want to tell us about energy efficient windows...

Calls lets ring, then hangs up!   Happened 3 times   -

I said "hello."
Caller said "Mr. ___(L.Name)___?"  
I said "Yes. Who is this?"
He said, "Thank you." and hung up.

I inadvertantly confirmed my unpublished phone number to an unknown person!!

Caller called asked for my husband when I asked to take a message he hung up...called the number back said "customer you have called is unavailable to take your call, please leave a message after the tone." "sorry the users mailbox can't accept anymore messages." Hangs up, over and over and over.... Reported the number. Real JERK!!!

Just got a call on 9.12.2013 from this number.  Clearly a scam as they seemed to be fishing for some sort of information from me.  They knew my name and address and made up some other stuff.  Not sure who would fall for this, but hopefully no one does.

called my land line on 9-4 . Foolishly, I answered my own phone because I thought I recognized the number as my neighbor.  Immediately  I realized my mistake when I hear someone ask for us by name with false familiarity and identifying themselves as "Triangle Construction" saying they are in "our area" today and could I come out and blah blah etc.
I declined of course, this is clearly a scam.   Yes, we are on the do not call list which I now believe works against us by giving criminals a list of viable numbers.  I'm blocking this number for sure.

These people have to be scamming the public.  If they were a legit business they wouldn't hide behind the illegal 'Spoofed' Caller ID that is sent across the phone lines.  They must have nothing else to do because they certainly can't expect anyone with any sort of a brain to fall for their nonsense.

Keeps calling very early in the am. I am 89 years old and this is so annoying. Tried to call number back and no answer, says its disconnected.

I just got a call from this number. There was the usual pause when I answered and then ther was someone whistling a tune. I didn't say anything and then they hung up. It was so weird!

Also, didn't leave message.  When I called back, it was a recording regarding some company called Magic Talk.

Called and said they were JC Construction wanted to know if we were ready to redo our paint on the outside of the house...when I said no and it was a new home he started asking me ridiculous questions so I said not interested and asked to be taken of his call list, he then said let me put you through the request line then he came back on as the request line and pretented to be a voicemail. What a cocky jerk!!

Got a call from 619-630-1711 about an hour ago. When I picked up, the lady asked "Am I speaking to the homeowner?"  When I said "Hello" one more time, she hung up.  WHy bother calling if you don't intend to speak to the person you called?  Are these telemarkters just going down a list of numbers to call and call just so they can tell their bosses they did?  how annoying.  I send them bad karma, hope they get inconvienced as well.

Called today, 12:23 PM. Said JC Contracting, wanted to upgrade my windows, get mne a big rebate.
Told him he was calling illegally, reported him.

I received a call today from this number.  They did not leave a message.  I read the other callers responses, and will not answer this caller.  I, too, am on the do not call list.

Have received multiple calls from this number over the past 3 weeks. Sometimes they are Triangle Construction, sometimes they are Crown Homes. Today they were Johnson Home Center. The caller told me that he would come by tomorrow afternoon to go over the plans for my new patio. When I told him that was strange since I live in an upstairs apartment he started spewing 4 letter words and then hung up.

Sure do wish the Do Not Call Registry could put an end to these losers!

I keep getting calls from a jerk at this number. He asks for my husband and when I ask him what this is about, he's incredibly rude and hangs up the phone. I cannot imagine any other reason for his attitude other than fraud.

I received the same call from a construction company doing roofing. I told them I had decided on another company and they hung up on me. so I did re-dial, and I got a construction company that I actually decided on and they said they didn't call, i'm confused and feeling a need to be cautious..doesn't seem to matter if your on the do not call list..when I dialed it back it said magic talk.com and has not been assigned to anyone yet. this is such a scam. shame on all you  who do this to people, you should rot in phone hell.

Guy called and asked for my husband.  I asked him who he was, said he was "Bruce Skinner".  Asked him what company he was with.  He said he was a project manager.  I said, "With whom?"  He hung up, saying that I asked too many questions!!!!!

I have received calls from this number and 6 other numbers. The only one with a name is Ben Hasidim. They have called themselves Crown Home Center and Triangle Construction. When I try to call back I also get the "Magic Talk" response saying the number has not been assigned. There has been a lot of confusion between the different individuals who have called. I scheduled an appointment today and the gentleman told me they were accredited with the BBB and another one called California Home Owners. I can't find anything like that about them. I am worrying this is some kind of a scam. I tried to call the salesman on the cell phone number he left but he has not called back.

Guy called this weekend, asked for a cheeseburger, fries, and drink.  I asked "Who is this?" and he said "David Larry" and then asked me how much this was going to be?  I just hung up, chalked it up as pranksters, but then my husband looked this number up on here and we see it is a phone number that is being used in a less than desirable manner.  Not sure what it going on with this.... just posting too.

When they just now called me, I said, hello, guy, with sneaky, perv voice, hesitated and said, um, hello -- can i ask you (said something inaudible) then said, oh, no I can't and hung up.

A man called me on my home phone line, asking for me, in a demanding way, and requiring to get information of my morning activity like: if I went to the market this morning. Of course I did not give any info and when I asked his name and the purpose of the call he refused to answer. I hanged up. Annoying situation.

I received a call from 619 630-1711 on my personal and business line this morning.  Hung up the second time.

My wife got a call from these guys while  was out running errands.  When she answered they asked for me, including using my first name which I never use.... That's always a big clue for us: anyone who calls and uses it is a telemarketer or a scammer.  At any rate, after she said I wasn't here, they never identified themselves, they just stopped talking... but stayed on the line.  She could hear noise in the background.  When they refused to reply, she hung up on them.  

BTW - to those who say they are on the national Do Not Call list, you need to know this: If you ever fill out a contest blank when you're at the swap meet, or at a ball game, or the mall?  That info is sold to telemarketers...  and if you enter the contest after you registered on the Do Not Call List, they are free to call you because you volunteered the information.  (Ditto product registration forms...  always check (or click if on line) the "do not share my info" button, or better yet, do not fill them out at all - you do not void your warranty by skipping the registration form - it's your dated receipt that matters!)  

Last thing: You have to renew your registry on the Do Not Call list every five years or you roll off the list.  Better yet, re-register annually for every phone number you have.  That way, if you accidentally give your information out, you'll be covered again ninety days after you re-register.
