Was contacted on my cell phone by John Marsh from John Hill Law Office. The message said" You will be arrested at your work or at your home address. Please call John Marsh with John Hill Law Office or your Attourney General. Otherwise, see you in court. I returned the call, only to get a voice answering machine saying that I reached John Marsh and he was in an attorney's meeting and to leave a message. I did not leave a message or any further info and just hung up. I then, blocked the number on my cell phone.

Same. Please confiscate this person's phone he is committing harmful threatening and derogatory phone calls.

Just wanted to be clear that I never took out a payday loan --- my first post was a bit ambiguous

He left a message saying a complaint was filed against me and that I would be arrested at work, blah blah blah. I have had to deal with this type of belligerent phone call for over three years now - all because I applied online for a payday loan (which I never, ever received, by the way). I have calls from people with a Jamaican accent, but it has since then been Indian (not Native American). They all basically say the same threatening spiel...you or your attorney at hand need to call back regarding this very serious matter...you are going to be arrested...I was fed up enough to finally return this horrible man's call. and he treated me with vagueness (I never was told who filed the "complaint" or what it was pertaining to-he hung up on me before we go to that point). WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS PERSON? HE SAID HE WAS AN ATTY WHO WORKED FOR ATTY JOHN MARSH, I HAD TO HAVE IT SPELLED FOR ME BECAUSE HIS ACCENT WAS SO THICK. NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT HIS NAME WAS...I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THESE CALLS AND TRULY BELIEVE THAT THIS GENTLEMAN, ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE BOTTOM-FEEDERS WHO PREY UPON GULLIBLE PEOPLE NEED TO BE THE ONES ARRESTED! WHOM DO I CONTACT? I

This person left a message saying if I did not call and pay restitution I would be arrested at my place of work. I called back and he told me that he was calling from the Law offices of John Hill and his name was Attorney John Marsh.  Every time I asked what this was pertaining to, he told me not to interrupt and if I interrupted again he would call the police. He told me that I had used one of my email accounts to access money and have deposited into my bank account but did not give any details. He said that the total amount was over $4000 but if I paid $345 the charges would be dropped and I would not be arrested. He told me to go Walgreens or Walmart to purchase a Visa card and he would hold on the line while I did this and prepare my paperwork for the collection of the money. That's when I got wise and handed my phone to a nearby police officer. The officer inquired about the call and the man said we will have to figure out a different way to deal with this lady and hung up.

Got call stating that the police is going to come to my job arrest me... had thick accent and rude and nasty

Got the same phone call, told me i was going to be arrested at my job, he is rude and needs to be caught.  Would like to see him be scared about going to jail - only difference is HE WILL!

Got the same call today, I didn't answer the phone however he did leave a message saying I was going to be arrested at my work etc., very rude, thick accent, next time he calls im gonna pull my old granny act.....Raymond is that you!!! I did file a complaint with the FTC and my Attorney generals office!!!

receiving cals from 619-754-4794 threatening that i am going to be arrested at my work, i do not work first of all, hendid not say who he was or whre he was from, thick accent, he also did not ask for anyone in particular at my home number, and the cllaer id read "senior living".....dont know

I also got a call my husband has called back and harrassed the hell out  of (ollie boba). This dude told me to shut up this is so far from being over. ;-)

I got the same call!!!! And I called him out on when he refused to tell me who he was with and why and he actually hung up on me at first and I like you was clueless, don't owe and money. He told me I was being arrested at my job and I would find out the details then. I again called him out saying it was fishy and he gave me the name of some law firm, I couldn't understand him so I asked him to spell it out and he told me I was wasting his time and hung up..... the number says telemarketer on her, wish we could find him and have him arrested and sue him.

Maybe you guys shouldn't be stealing and you will not get calls like that... Just kidding, my sister just got that call today. She said the man said "we are coming to arrest you for money laundering and stealing".

Same call. Im going to be arrested at work. He wished me good luck and slammed the phone down.

I got the same call this morning and he told me that his name is john marsh he is going to send the police at my work to arrest me because he got a complaint about me. So I ask him how much I owe and he said $350.00 and told me to go to Walgreen to get a vanilla reload card put the money in and give him the 10 digit number but I told him that I am just gonna pay him $120.00 and I will pay him the rest tomorrow.I was scared that the police is going to arrest me I did took a loan but it's due tomorrow and they are taking it directly from my account . After I payed the $120.00 I call the loan guys and they told me that they did not file a complaint. What should I do? Should I go ahead and pay him the money tomorrow ? Please help. Thanks

It's a scam.  And since when do the police call ahead of time to let you know you'll be arrested?  That's right - they DON'T!  Report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.

It's a foreign scammer.  Just report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If the scammer calls back tell him that the FBI is tracing all calls he makes to you.

I got a call this morning with the same message. I was gonna be arrested because someone made a complaint on me..

This number has called me several times in the past 6 months, I have put a complaint in but he still calls.....do not know who or what this is about but same as others above-threats and so on.  Really getting sick of the calls, going to try to get number blocked.

This guy is clearly a scammer and I called him several times myself and was told the same thing. I plan to take further action against this harassing J*** A**. Stay tuned!!!

I also received the call, he said he was an attorney (which he isn't).  I live in Kansas so I called the Kansas Attorney General's office and they asked me to file a complaint because it is a scam.  You can file the complaint in whatever state you live in at the attorney generals website and you can also go to the Federal Trade Commission website and file a federal complaint.  The lady at the state office told me they are trying to catch these people, but they keep changing their phone numbers, using different addresses etc.

I got the same call and same message. I called him back and he tried to verify my address I wouldnt verify it so he said he would have me arrested at work as well...who is this guy???

We received a call today from this number and the guy with a thick foreign accent left a message threatening to have me arrested at my job if I didn't pay! For one I am self enjoyed 2 I don't owe on any accounts 3 he didn't say who he is with and company he is calling from and 4 no matter what it is VERY ILLEGAL FOR HIM TO THREATEN ANYONE LIKE HE DID!!!!! So any suggestions on how to handle this matter ?!?!?!
