I got almost the same email with an offer of $50 more to hold it.  But his name is now Mark Caudill.  Also it didn't feel right but I gave him my name and address and phone numbers.  Not much he can do with it though, is there?

I just got this same email and phone number under the name Mark.  He is still trying to scam someon. I am just thankful that when I googled his number all the scams came up. Thank you for keeping someone elsefrom getting scammed.

Yes. This is a total scam. Make sure you can actually get in touch with this person IN YOUR TOWN OR CLOSE TO IT. Don't accept any kind of "courier service". They make the check out for more than what you ask for, but then you will be responsible for all of the money lost in the transaction. This happened to me before. Please be careful, everyone.

Looks like "scott" is still active.  Got the same from him today.  Sounded too good to be true, and obviously is.

I got the almost exact same email today for something I posted on Craigslist, only he/she (her profile on G+ is female) offered $50 dollars extra instead of $20. Passing on the offer based on the info from you all - thank you! Just seemed to good to be true.

That's the exact same message I received for a Cragslist ad, and I almost fell for the scam til I noticed the area code was 619 not 609.  I listed the offer as being cash only and local, so at first I thought he was from South Jersey (609 area code).  Before finding this page I asked him to pay via PayPal and cover my PayPal fees.  So far, no response.

Basically a scam.
Do not respond to him.

I got the exact same e-mail on CL!! Good thing I googled this!

I also got a suspicious email from this guy on craigslist. The whole thing was strange and gave me a bad vibe. I'm glad someone else felt the same way

I got a similar email from someone named Scott with the same phone number also who was replying to something I had on Craigslist. I got suspicious and told him thanks for the interest but I'll pass.

I just got the same email today. I'm glad I intersepted it first in my family as my wife saw it and was ready to sell it to him.... here is the email...

Same story - Different Day.

Exact same text from the spammer here in Central Indiana Sunday evening.

I received the same e-mail response to a craigslist ad for a television I'm selling in Indiana. I knew it was bs. Glad I searched the number.

I posted an item on Craigslist and got the same email. Luckily I went with my first instinct that it looked like a scammer and searched internet for possible feedback.  So glad this website exists and that you guys posted your comments. I'm afraid I would have fell for the scam.  I got exact same email.:

a person from this number is telling my mother that she had won a $350,000 publishing clearing house prize, but wanted a check for $36,000.  It's terrible people like this prey on older people.

Me too...........................Put a block on my email for this number and now basically the same message coming from Alex & Mick? This crap just pisses me off! Thanks for your replies that let me know this is B.S.!
