All I get is 3 rings, then they hang up.  Called them back and get a answering machine "apologizing" for the inconvenience.  Yeah, right.

This appears to be some kind of fraud. They call at least twice a day harrassing people and stating the last 4 digits of my credit card with Chase Bank. If you have a Chase card and this happens to you call the Fraud Department with Chase: 800-228-6853 to have it stopped

The called me 6 times today and stating the last 4 digits of my AMEX card about a $100 gas card prise. Don't give them ANY information!

Global Marketing something of Clearwater Florida called me early this morning, and had last 4 numbers of my credit card and my name, etc.  Tried to confirm more info before I started asking more questions.  Looked them up on internet, found several cases against them, one the Attorney General of Florida, something about 'fraud'.  Read this off to them on the phone...heard a click and that was it, she hung up on me.

Also if you call the numbers back, it asks you to press 2 to be taken off the marketing list. DON'T do this! This just confirms to them that your number is valid and it will increase their call volume to you. I have been getting 15-20 calls per day for them, and they won't give up no matter what.

They (female from India) left a message yesterday.  Called again today and claimed to be from the VISA corp.  I just had my card put on fraud alert two weeks ago and since the caller id said ID Theft I answered and talked for a while.  Wanted to send me a prepaid fuel card.  She new my name and address.  I started asking questions and she didn't have good answers so I hung up.  They have called back twice.

today is the first time ive gotten calls from them, and theyve been calling non-stop all day. i answered one time, and someone answered just as i was about to hang up. i have no idea who this company is, or how they got my number, but i am on the do not call registry, and i doubt that this is a charity or non profit.

Calls 7-8 times a night. Used the id Roth G once, all the other

I Receive constant calls from 619-801-8144. There is rarely anyone there. This last time someone Asian or Idian came on the line and asked me to verify my address. When I told her that I was not going to give her my address she said we already have it I just need to verify to send you "the" gift. This went back and forth literally for 15 minutes. She would not hang up no matter how loud I got or how many times I said I was not going to "verify" anytine. Finall she said you will keep getting calls from my company until you do.

I'm getting calls from this number NONSTOP! 619-801-8144 / It's the SAME Scammers as 626-273-8240 and the calls are coming in at all hours of the day and night on both my home phone and my cell phone!

It's possibly a spoofed number though, as many of the calls from this area in Cali are actually being bounced out of India & the Phillipines through a system similar to Skype. Oh, and don't believe for a second that your Land or Cell phone provider can't track it back to it's ACTUAL location. They can! It's just a matter of if they really want to be bothered with it & how much you pressure them to do it. Threats of legal action rarely work, but filing an actual complaint & seeking legal actions seems to work wonders to get them to get off their a**es to trace it back to it's place of origin.

In my case though, everytime I answer, they hang up instantly. No machine, no person, just dead air, then it disconnects.

I have since saved both 619-801-8144 & 626-273-8240 into my phone as TM#8-DoNotAnswer & TM#9-DoNotAnswer with a silent ring tone for both so I won't get woken up by these stupid calls.

In what I've read so far on here and other places in regards to this number, it seems to be attempted credit card fraud, and getting as much information as you can to report it is very necessary.

and let them know what's possibly happening. Once you place the fraud alert in your file, you're entitled to one FREE copy of your credit report from each of the three consumer reporting companies immediately! In the event that one of your Credit Card/Debit Card accounts shows any type of fraud, have them close the account immediately and issue you a new card and account number.

Sooner or later, if enough people complain and/or sue over these type of scams, the companies will have no choice but to act or risk losing all of their customers.

If the calls continue, I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB against all said companies involved, as well as contacting the FTC, FCC, and the Attorney General in each state to file formal complaints.

They hang up, when I call back it says thank you for calling back and says to press 1 to be removed from calling list. I receive multiple calls a day and there is no other options to press

Received a call today from this number. Couldn't understand what they were saying.  No name on caller ID, wouldn't speak to me.

I get calls as early a 5:oo am. Never a message and no caller ID as they are on my cell phone.

They keep asking for Tiffany and when I ask the name of the company they hang up. Showed up at ID Theft and now as Service Company.

Both same from what I gather. Just gonna have to block the number I guess... some people just need a hobby

Yes, it sounds like a call center in India. I have been receiving calls from this same call center from different area codes in California. Definitely a hoax of some kind.

They have called several times, never leave messages. The caller ID registers them as ID Theft. Are they trying to prevent it or perpetrate it?
