Weird - I googled this number and almost everyone says the same thing.  When they call back (and I tried this as well) you get the standard message "this number is no longer in service...."  So how can they keep calling if the number is disconnected?  They must have found a way to use a disconnected number to show up on caller ID while calling from another number.  They didn't leave a message when they called, so no idea what they want.  I'm on the national no call list and filed a complaint.

Rang twice. I answered with "Hello".  Reply was just audible breathing and then what sounded like a giggle before I hung up.

Third time this week from this number.

These 406 numbers are Google Voice numbers.

I think it's a recording, it's not actually disconnected because it rings twice before the message is played.

I received a call from this number while I was in a meeting for work---possibly two but my phone only logs phone numbers once as in last current missed number.  No message was left.  I read all the replies from others on this site and its obviously not important. Thank you!

I just received a call from the number, called it back and sure thing, rang three times before the "no longer in service" audio came on.  Hmmm?

I happen to have two cell phones with consecutive numbers. Both phones rang with in seconds of each other.  Same caller ID 406-626-5480. It appears the calls are automated and they are calling every number in the area. Because ID number is out of service they are "spoofing" the caller ID and therefor I would not trust the caller...

I was taking a nap and this number called my magic jack phone.  Only a couple people have this number as we just have it for the kid to call her long distance friends.  Lord only knows what kind of freak it is.

Was called by this number, saw it on caller i.d., Since I travel a lot I thought it might be someone I knew but didn't remember so i called back. A recorded voice announced the number was disconnected. Should I be concerned?

They tried to call me at work, I missed it. They didn't leave a message. wery strawnj.

This reinforces my habit not to pick up if I don't recognize the number.  First time I've looked one up though and it was good for a laugh.

A call from this same exact number appeared on my cell at 12:47 AM yesterday morning, and I didn't answer it. But, today they called again. I tried calling it back, and just like everyone else.. I got a message saying it was disconnected.

Caller ID showed 406-626-5480.  Called back and got number no longer in service. According to this and other sites, the same thing is happing all over the country.  I am in area code 850.

Same...strange call from this number.  But it says "not a working number if you call it back."  Any one know anything else?

That's weird.  I just got this call today and it was an automated message offering me health insurance.  I think it's a scam.

Had missed call from this number on my verizon cell phone. Only my family and like 3-4 friends have my number. I did not try to call back I just figured missed call but looked it up and got curious. I am guessing its a scam of some sort and now going to start talking in code...:) so 'they' don't hear! :)

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago.  Thought it may have been an Realtor in Montana, as I have been looking at property there.  But then I remember the only correspondence that I have had was via email.  Did reverse number look up and I have no idea who these people would be.  Obviously, it is some more crap.

call came in Fri p.m.  Did not pick up so it was listed as a missed call.  Checked the No. and it was from someone named Elder in Montana.  I have distant relatives named Elder so tried to return the call.  Operator said the phone had been disconnected.
