I got a Fed Ex delivery from an individual listed on the invoice as Donna Oswald with this phone number.  The envelope contained a check for a large sum of money.  No other instructions or information was included, and the address label and check only had my first name printed.  I called the investment company listed on the check and confirmed the check was a forgery.  When I checked Google Earth to look up the address listed on the Fed Ex invoice, it shows to a warehouse looking building in downtown San Diego, CA (not exactly "investment company" digs).  It appears from my experience along with the other posts listed above, there is a lot of no good coming from this phone number.

This must be a scam as there are numerous spelling errors. I would recommend to NOT reply to this message. Instead, report it as a phishing scam.... For those who do not know, Phishing is when a person claims to work for a company that does not exist and offers you a job but requests your bank number, SSN, date of birth, or any other identifiable information so they can benefit from your lack of understanding.

Point being, just be careful and do not give out your personal information.

i got the same email.  I think it's spam too.  It sent automatically to my google spam folder, and no company was mentioned specifically (they also did not specifically mention how they got my info).  I wouldn't trust this email or call (I got an email)

This "Latasha" person actually emailed me for a job I had applied to through my university's career service website....the job was to process payments and transactions for Cara Operations. Thought it seemed like a weird "job" but since I was desperate for a job and it was from a source that I trusted, I thought it would be OK...I wound up depositing a fraud check for over $3000 into my bank account, luckily I caught on before I touched the money and had it sorted out with the bank.

So lesson learned, BE CAREFUL...if I had been more careful and realized that the email she contacted me from was not the same email address provided on the actual job posting, I could have saved myself ALOT of trouble.

Latasha Powell using the company CARA and fraudulent checks from Outward Bound International - Yes, be careful!! IT'S FRAUD. They'll take your money and send you a check from a fictitious account with no funds and then you will never hear back. They post jobs online in: www.hiremymom.com

Read carefully. I need to hear from my bank next week to be 100% sure but this guy IS a conman. I've been getting the same email for a month, thought this guy is weird too. But I've been desperate to get a job lately and just thought I'd give it a shot. I am not in the mood to explain all the details here cuz' my bank told me they were almost certain this is a scam. I now have $3000 to pay  back to my bank, so I'm all done, but the reason why I'm writing this is to warn  you:

DON'T EVEN ANSWER THE EMAIL FROM THIS PAUL FERGUSON GUY.

Hopfully there won't be another stupid victim like myself.
