Same message saying you won 1000 dollar gift card. Scam avoided by calling target right away but this should be illegal in more than one way.

Yup. I just got the same message.  I was sure it was BS and came here first, Im not even going to access that website.  But for the record my message came in from 909-9738712 if anyone is keeping tack.

I got the same text at 7am this morning...I had won $1000 giftcard from target...all I had to do was go to targetcontest.com and enter the code given.

You gotta be an idiot to respond to that knowing you've never entered any drawing from Target. However, please, by all means hand over your personal info. You have to learn somehow.

Got the Target Text - Anyone try to go to the website to see what/how the scam works?

"Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code XXXX to claim your free $1000 Target card within 24 hrs Nov 14, 955 pm."

msg came in saying "Your entry last month has won! go to Targetcontest.com& enter your winning code to claim your free $1K Target gift card w/in 24hrs." Yea rught, It was reported to the FCC instead.

I got this message too, in the middle of the night.  It's BS.  I checked out the site targetcontests.com, entered the code they gave and right away I could tell it led to pages of surveys.

I received a text at 11:50 a.m. saying Your entry last month has won! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code XXXX to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24 hrs.

I recived  this text at 2:50 am about a free $1000 gift card from 619-876-0993 at TargetContests.com

It has been over a month since I shopped at Target, and I did not enter any contest.

The same outfit URL TargetContests.com is using other numbers besides 619-876-0993.

Target may be holding legitimate contests, but this is not one of them. If in doubt, call your local Target store. (My first thought was that someone in the family had dropped my name & phone number in a box at Target, but NO.)

I received the text @ 4:30 in the morning telling me I had won $1000 gift card to Target. I didn't enter any contest with Target, I don't even shop there.

Got a few texted from that number target and walmart to enter winning number

The last couple of days i been getting 2 texted saying go to walmart contest and enter code 7483 big scam then just got 2 texted from target wow people have nothen better to do with there time

got the same call re: a 1000 dollar gift card...called our Target here and they said they'd heard of no such contest and their headquarters area code is (612)...don't call it.

Yeah, I received a text from these A-holes at 12:51 AM.  Same thing - offered a $1000 gift card

I got a text message at 3-frigging-46 a.m. from what scumbags belong to this number saying I won a $1k gift card from target.  If I knew who they were, they'd be the target and I'd squeeze the trigger.  At least with the phone calls I can blow there eardrums out with my airhorn, but now texts....?  Grrrrrr!!!

Just got this text said I won 1000 from targetcontest.com. So I looked up the number and came here instead.

Text message that states " Congratulations your friend entered you to win a FREE walmart gift card. Go to WalmartContests.com and enter wining code 7483 to claim you card within 24hours"

text message: you won 1000 gift card.  go to walmartgift.net (LOL) to claim, blah blah, blah.  i went to the sight just for fun and it's a big scam. they want you to enter all your personal info.  then 'complete the following offers' blah, blah, blah.  big marketing scam.
