This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

Just got a call at 7:40am from this number. This guy with a very heavy middle eastern accent told me he was with the Sheriff's department and that there is a warrant out for my arrest and charges for fraud against me. When I went "yeah right" he said OMG you haven't heard about this case? Do you have an Attorney? I said, No I don't need one, he told me yes I do and I was to call the Attorney that the sheriff's department uses. This call had red flags all the way through it. Since when does the Sheriff's department call you and tell you that you have a warrant? I've never been arrested, but the one person that I do know that was arrested wasn't notified, they just showed up at his door and arrested him. And Sheriff's departments don't give out names and numbers of Attorneys. I told him that he could call the Lincoln, Nebraska Police Department and gave him their phone number and I would believe it when my local Police Department calls me and hung up on him.

Called back and told the guy off.. He had some choice words to say then told me to lick his balls. Lol wtf really?? Dumb a***s

Call today from Jim Martin.  Threatening me with lawsuit and jail time ,  said he was an attorney, with some financial crime firm,.  Called back, got another person who stated he was an attorney, and that I had won a 10,000 lottery,  What can I do to stop the harassing calls?

I just got an phone call from the idiot, he said I was being charged with a criminal act, asked if I had an attorney...I said yes, my father! I did some investigating on your number and saw that you're running a scam! He said "Okay, thank you...bye..." I said "no, no, no...let's talk! I wanna' talk..." he hung up like a little bi***.

A so called Kyle Kooper criminal attornery called and said if i didnt send 300 with in a hour he was going to file criminal charges on me and go to my employers and i would be fired and srrensted and would never be able to get another job...i was so scard i called my boyfriend and told him he said to call local sheriff they said its a scam ..theee people are such a***s

Some foriegn guy stating that hew was taking me to court. When I called back, I did not get answer!

I recieved multiple phone calls from this man saying he was an attorney and I was being sued by the government for fraud and check fraud! I am absolutely furious, I have since recieved hundreds of calls from this number as well as thier affiliates, in less than a week! Isn't there some kind of laws protecting citizens from this very kind of harassment? If anyone has any further information, please feel free to e-mail me @ flipperdw@hotmail.com. I have been in contact with an attorney here in my hometown to find out what the laws are here concerning scams like this! I tell ya, they really talk a good game, but being victim of this kind of a scam in the past, I knew something wasn't right!

A person, calling me from this number (619-924-0448), has scammed me.

This number called me and said I had a warrant for my arrest because I didn't send them money also had called my boss this is a complete scam!!!

SCAM!!!!! Getting really irritated by these phone calls. These foreign guys will call you up stating that you will be sue unless you pay them some money. They will state you are being sued by some sort of loan place. Just stupid and a waste of time to listen to them.
