Gas company calling up on a survey on the work they did on the home.

This call is from TNS requesting your feedback for service provided by The Gas Company.

Unless the caller was going to sell you goods or services, the Do Not Call list does not apply.  Surveys to follow up on how well a company's customer service is working are just one among many types of unsolicited calls that are exempt. This caller has no idea who is on the DNC list because they cannot register for access even if they wanted to since they are not selling goods or services to the people they call.  In addition, this call would also fall under the previous or ongoing business relationship exclusion as well since they are calling on behalf of your gas company.

Caller claimed he wasn't a telemarketer immediately when i answered the phone and that he had noticed I had requested service from the gas company. I advised him I worked graveyard shift and that I was sleeping and i had not called for service. He told me he had a couple of quick questions. I told him he could come over to the address on his screen and see me to interview me in person as I was pretty cranky at this point.  He declined....I wonder why?

I got 2 calls from this Number 619-929-3563 and I return the call and it was the GAS company

There's no conspiracy.  I got annoyed by all the phone calls and finally answered.  It's a marketing company taking a survey for SoCalGas Co.  The guy knew the DATE I had called the gas company for a service related issue and he knew the NAME of the operator I'd worked with.  He asked about my experience with her and had questions related to the service.  He followed up with questions about my consumer demographic.  You don't need to answer any questions you don't want to.

This is so strange....my pilot went out on water heater out of no where...the guy who came to service the water heater told my mother n law he was from the gas company.. He called my house with that number...619-929-3563..caller I'd said GTEL

They keep calling everyday between 9 AM and 8:45 PM.  I let my answer machine answer but they don't leave any msg. One more call and I shall file a complaint with the FCC and Atty. Gen. office.

I got a call from this same number telling me that they most recently noticed that I made a service call to my Gas Company.  I said no I did not, and then the girl asked if I was Maria ___________ and without thinking I confirmed my name and she immediately hung up.  I got mad at myself for confirming who I was but it was too late.  If you get calls from this number I suggest that you do not answer any questions!  Pick up the phone and just say you do not want them to be calling your number.  If they try to confirm who they are speaking to, then tell them unless they have a real reason for calling you they better stop calling and asking for your name or else you will be contacting your phone company to put a trace on the calls and report them.  Again DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO CONFIRM OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!! This is not a real business of any kind that is out to help you only attempt to gather information from you and who knows what for!  Don't be fooled they are not working with or for the gas company.  I called my gas company about this number and they have never heard of the number especially since its coming from San Diego.  Be careful!

619-929-3563 HAS CALLED 3 TIMES TODAY. THEY CONTINUE TO CALL EVEN THOUGH I HAVE REPORTED THEM AND ASKED OVER AND OVER FOR THEM TO STOP CALLING. IT'S HORRIBLE! WHY ARE THEY ABLE TO CONTINUE?!

these people called my house around 8pm. Caller Id picked it up as GTEL. I answered but i didnt hear anything so i just hung up
