Scam. IRS back taxes

Called this afternoon but I did not answer.  No message left.

I got a call from this number today and didn't answer it.  I did *67 the number and called it back.  They claimed "their records showed we owed back taxes" which isn't true.  Sounds like some kind of a scam to me.

I did not talk to a live person, that was the recording that answered the phone.

Have been calling every day since Jan. 2. Leaves no message and no one on the line when we picked up either.
