I got through by calling back and was told to call 1-800-576-2372 extension 308, state I wanted the calls to stop, and (obviously) leave my name and phone number.  

Called three times in two days and i finally answered to see what they wanted.  Caller said they were randomly calling people in my area for a survey. I then explained it's not random if you keep calling me so remove my number immediately and do not call me again before I hung up on him. We'll see if that works....doubt it but a girl can dream.  I won't be answering a call from this number again.

I have been getting a call from this number on my cell phone last couple of days, yeah, how did they get my cell number, I don't give it out to anyone.  Only my closest family knows my cell number because they are the only ones I really care to talk to on my cell phone.
Of course, no message left.

Its a POLLING hotline, not bowling.

Pam Slater (Price) was a County Supervisor ib San Diego County.  She is still active on several issues.

You can call the 800 number and ask your number be removed.  Good luck.  Since she was/is a politician, the survey/polling is EXEMPT from the Do Not Call rules.

WRITE, not call or email, you Senator abd Representative abd tell them you want a nrw, no exceptions Do Not Call rule.

Just got a call from these a**holes tonight. I didn't bother answering the phone. The number is now blocked with my Panasonic KX phone.  

Competitive Edge, Political Pollsters... they won't stop calling, won't take number off of list.  They believe that because they are not a business telemarketer that they are exempt from "do not call".  Setting my phone to silent ring for this number.

the number 619 955-8605 called me at 7:50 PM and asked for me by my full government name and when I a said "Yes this is me speaking" they just hung up. It was a male. Very weird.

this is the second time they called. when my voicemail came on they hung up.

Canada? I have had a 619 area code for 20 years and I live in San Diego (which is still in the USA)

Called my cell.  I did not answer.  They did not leave a message.

After asking for a min what it was for, they said the survey would take 10 min, they asked me one question whether my household has cell or home lines then immediately hung up after I answered..wtf so annoying

Constantly calls, leaves no message. Annoying.

I need them to stop!! They call daily 2frealin times. How do I stop them?

Have called THREE times in the last two days.  Never leave a message.  I finally answered and I asked who they were.  It is a Competitive Polling.  I told them I was too busy to take a poll.  The guy quickly said "we'll try at a better time" and hung up before I could tell him to take me OFF THEIR CALL LIST!  Argh!  So frustrating!  tell them to take you off their call list RIGHT AWAY.  They are quick to hang up otherwise.

This is a research company in San Diego. Look them up on Google - Competitive Research.
They do over the phone and online surveys as well as focus groups. They are not a collection agency.
Just call their 800# and ask them to remove your name from their list. Somehow they got your number from God knows where....nowadays you never know.

Received a call from this just about a hour ago at 8:16 am and called for something research, I just told that guy to get lost and never call me again, I don't even know how can they know my number even my name...!!

Hangs up on everyone in the household and the answering machine. What is the point of calling? Trying to reach the cat? He doesn't answer the phone.

Why harass people? I don't get it.

So now if you register to vote you not on only expose yourself to jury duty, but apparently your telephone number is given to political pollsters. WTF?

I'm not so sure I am opposed to the jury duty exposure, which is our civic responsibility - but who thought that 2nd annoyance was a good idea? Why don't we citizens have a bigger roll in these unilateral decisions?

My call came in a 6:30 just as I was sitting down for dinner. I very politely told her "I am going to pass on your poll." She politely said, "Thank you sir and hung up." Perhaps some single mom taking the only job she could find, so I tried to be polite.

Of course the next time she calls I'll unleash a flurry of cuss words (I was in the Navy) like she's seldom heard. :)

Unfortunately charities, politically campaigns and those doing polling are excluded from protection by adding your telephone number to the Do Not Call Registry. Damn those lobbyists.

i also got a call from 619 955 8605 saying its a boling hotline & they ask for someone i dont know. its kind of scarry

Received numerous calls from this number and no voicemails (I did not answer the calls.)
When I called back it's an automated message telling you how to complain or add your number to the do-not-call list.
When I called that number, it was some guy named Chad's voicemail. I left a voicemail with my name and number to remove me. I have yet to see if they actually stop calling.

yes.. so I call them back to tell them to stop calling me.. and it gives you the option to leave your number to be placed on the do not call list, yet gives you no f****ng option to do so.. it instantly hangs up and gives you a busy signa.

They've been calling "every hour" from 5pm to 9 pm.

I wonder if we can have a class action lawsuit against them.

Keep getting calls from this number ... always miss the call, no message, no nothing ... really tired of these calls. I am on the no call list, why am I getting these calls??

This number called me and hung up without a message. I called the number back after finding it with star 69. It referred me to 1-800576-2372. The company is Comptetive Edge Research. They give their address as 2170 4th Ave, San Diego, CA.

Got a call from this number yesterday.  The caller id listed it as "competitive edge" I of course did not answer, and no message was left.

Most likely a bogus call, or advertising of some sort.

They keep calling and if I answer he/she hangs up!  Must be the way he/she gets their kicks!

why do i get this call?  is it an area code of canada? who is calling? and what do they want?

They keep calling my 90 year old mother who suffers from Alzmeimer's disease and asking her endless survey questions.

My mom can't remember what she had for lunch let alone understand complicated questions about, for example, the recent litany of questions about 'Pam Slater Price.'  There is apparently no way to stop them from calling. This company is a joke.
