frustrating as f*** to get a call every f****ng day

I've been get this call for 2 weeks. I also got the recording about the travel points, I press 1 to tell the guy to get me off the list and he said "too bad".  Scum.

I got that he's from the Fort McMurray District School Board

some phone providers can block the number from calling you, call ur provider n ask, this will stop the calls.

the number is a spoofed number. Basically they steal a real persons number who is unaware making them completely anonomous. They could be calling from anywhere in the world. It is a scam, you should never answer these calls, one they may have it set up so if youanwer it connects them to a call say o africa or wherever n u get a huge bill for it. Two, they then can use ur number to spoof, meanung when they call someone with a scam it will show up as urnumber! Then they use a spoofed number to scam unsuspecting ppl out of money by giving them the you have won crap, except to get ur winnings u have to pay some fee, or worse they use it to get ur personal info, like saying you have won we just need you to verify your account information,if u give them ur info they then can steal ur identity, and reak havoc on your credit, everything, even gaining access to bank accounts! Beware beware, never give ur info not even ur name n never give money in any way. If they r legit u should b able to find a phone number on ur air milrs card or other and call back that number never a number they give u, i mean if u call back a number they give u they can easily answer like they r the company. ALWAYS USE THE NUMBER O THE BACK OF UR CARDS! AND WITH BANKS THE SAME OR CALL UR LOCAL BRANCH N GET THE REAL NUMBER TO CALL BACK IF IT REALLY WAS THE AIR MILES OR BANK OR WHATEVER THEY WILL HAVE NOTES ON UR FILE THAT THEY CALLED N U WERE CALLING BACK TO B SURE IT WAS NOT A SCAM!

Also got a few calls but was not home at the time to answer, no message left, but reading these posts will not answer

I have had countless calls from this number in the past 3 weeks. I haven't answered any of them and I'd love for them to stop.

When an Asian Indian man called me from this number, my daughter picked up the phone. This man asked her about me and did not left a message. I called back. This number is not in service. Be careful. This kind of calls are likely scam.

Record the number on a paper next to your phone and NEXT time they call simply do not answer and ignore it.
Are you aware that this is the practice of collection agencies? they are using VOIP services and they initiate a calls by hiding their real number?? it is technically possible to show on your call display any number they want, just to trick you! Simply if you pick up don't talk, if they don't talk hang up , and if they talk hang up and if there was answering machine hang up. So on all counts hang up . and Redo the same thing i mentioned above in case they call again.
And collection agencies are partners in these site we are giving feedback, they collect IP and data . so do not give info when you are giving feedback. you can use VPN  to hide your ip also.

Report the number to Phonebusters.com.  The phone number 780-747-9639 is a number that is not in service however, it is easy for a 3rd party company to have the Caller Line ID programmed to show up on all outgoing calls throught their PBX (phone system). This happens all the time to me with duct cleaning companies every other day it is a different number new company name wanting to know if I want my ducts cleaned.

keep getting these calls, I go to call back and it aleays say the number you reach is not in service, i answered once and all I got was you have so many air miles I know it has nothing to do air air miles, I hang up, they just keep calling, it sounds ike a pipe line call, otherwise a scam,

he is the owner of a Tim Horton's there...not a wise business practice for an owner of a reputable franchise???

IT CALLS ME EVERY SINGLE DAY AND I CANT TRACE IT. allways says not in service.

Got the call. Answered and stayed on the line to claim my prize. Person who did speak almost perfect english came on the line with a poorly-rehearsed speach. After some questions replied with single-word useless answers, he hung up. Wasn't in the mood to troll telescammers today.

Got a call today as well as a few days ago. I picked up the phone said 'hello" but noone spoke on both occasions !

The number most likely changes for each different area code, numbers that appear on your call display,are easily changed to any number a person wants, they create a local 780 number that will show on your display so you are more apt to answer.You can buy a 10 dollar prepaycard that allows you to alter the number that appears on a persons call display, it is a big no no for bill collectors and sales to use this method, but they do. Getting a call from 000-000-0000 is a common example of a prepay card being used.

Todays caller id can not be trusted 100%

Got the call according to my call display log but they didn't leave a message. From the description it sounds like one of those "test" calls that are done to confirm if numbers are live; if they're live, they end up on a list and sold.

Hi this number is issued from Tellus in Alberta. Please call 1800-400-2598. Call the phone company that "RENTS" of these number should be responsible and really are the only ones who can stop this phone harassment. Complain to them please.

I've been called by this number 4 times in last 5 days (Sep 21-26).  No one answers and call back says 'not in service'.  Very annoying.  I'm in Halifax NS and this number is from Ft. McMurray AB.

Just got a call from this number.  Didn't answer it, but then after reading other posts about it, I tried calling it back.  The number has been disconnected, just like others said.  Boy these people need to get jobs or something! Lol
