Get a call 2 times a day for weeks and I am in California. Im not picking it up because I dont know anyone in the 623 area code. They never leave a message.

I got tge call and i have an ipod TOUCH so i can not sew the caller id on there so i just ignored it thank goodness because i have heard that it is like a newspaper hing or qwest something like that do you think i should call them back or something?

Maybe I'm a cynic, but could it be that this gets them around the "Do Not Call Lists"? When you receive the call, and they hang up as soon as you answer, do you dial back, hoping to find out who called you? If you do, that counts as tacit approval to be contacted by them. Now they can have their telemarketing sales agents call you all day and claim that you called them, and they were just returning your call.

I have an unlisted number. Caller ID was Circ Tech. I let the answering machine pick up. No message. Even though I'm in Minnesota, most of my co workers are in the 623 area code. Just coincidence I guess because I called them back the person who answered asked to subscribe me to a Minnesota newspaper (Star Tribune) which I had coincidentally cancelled a week ago (but they would not know this phone number).
